My mom sent this to me recently. It is a wonderful image of me, my dear mother, and my grandfather, Elliott. It was a cold winter day in Upstate New York. If you look closely you can see the mittens that my mother made for me dangling from my coat. My mother sewed them totogether and threaded them through my coat, so that I wouldn't lose them when I discarded them as my hands got hot.
