The American Dream of Homeownership Has Aged (Literally)
A new report from the National Association of Realtors shows the median age of U.S. homebuyers has climbed to 56 in 2024, the oldest on record — up from 31 in 1981. For first-time buyers, the median age has risen from 29 to 38, reflecting how much harder it’s become to buy a home early in life. This 25-year jump marks a fundamental shift in affordability and access. Median home prices have surged to roughly $420,000, while the median household income is about $79,000 — far below the $110,000+ estimated to comfortably afford that home at current mortgage rates of 7–8%. In 1981, a typical home cost about three times the average household income; today, it’s closer to five-and-a-half times, and much higher in many metro areas.

My Day to Jerusalem: Interrogations at Ben Gurion Airport, Jerusalem Landmarks, and Crossing to Jordan
My day in Jerusalem was dotted with 4.5 hours of interrogations by Israelis at Ben Gurion Airport the day prior. The first and second screening men were not highly competent, sitting under harsh fluorescent lighting with a perfunctory manner. I was unimpressed and embarrassed on their behalf. They will lie and misrepresent you. When I asked for clarification and evidence, I was provided zero documentation or reasoning. This is common.

It's an "Amazon" Christmas
Ah, the good old Sears catalogs. There was nothing like them back in the day. One of my favorite holiday traditions growing up was flipping through those glossy pages, circling the things I hoped would end up under the tree. I have a vivid memory of my grandma handing me one after school one day when I was about six or seven-years-old.

What Are the Benefits of Eco-Friendly Carpet Cleaning in Singapore?
Carpets add warmth and beauty to any home or office. But keeping them clean is not always easy, especially in a city like Singapore where dust, humidity, and daily foot traffic are part of life. For years, many homeowners and businesses have relied on chemical-based carpet cleaning in Singapore. While these products may give quick results, they often come with hidden problems such as strong odors, health risks, and environmental damage.
