Unmarried
There's this strange space between him leaving and the unsigned papers. A space where you're not quite divorced but absolutely not married. The feeling is raw. Embarrassing. As lawyers go back and forth along with the children between two houses, it's two steps forward and five steps back. Moving on is easy, until it isn't. The day is the same as it was before he left. Wake up. Wake kids up. School. Work. Sports. Dinner. Sleep. During this time, you survive. You smile and keep moving. Don't stop moving. Twenty years of truths come to light. Reflection happens daily as tears stream down my face, chest aches that come and go like the waves in a lake. A lifetime of pain filled with mini pockets of pure bliss.

Is it sl^t day in the office?
When I was a little girl I believed in fairy tales. I loved princesses and loved the notion that prince charming would sweep me off my feet one day. I know that seems naïve but I was always a dreamer and always believed in the idea of great and lasting love. I always saw the best in people and looked on and helped others to see the bright and hopeful side of life. I am an empath to the core.

Where I'm at.
Seriously. What the fuck. I know it's my responsibility for where I am currently at and I'm getting pushed at from all sides; my Mom, Paul, and mostly myself. My Mom keeps asking what I'm going to do if Paul kicks me out. Where will you live, she asks with a tired look. I told her that while I appreciate her offer of moving back in, that this was the choice I made.
