Date from Hell: 06/06/06
I received a call from an ex-lover who was now seeing someone I was friends with from the past. "Freddy, how are you doing?" Hearing her voice conjured memories of sex in the stairwells where we both worked, bathroom sex in restaurants, and rooftop sex in the middle of a rain storm. What the voice did not bring back to mind was the lunacy and evil, wicked scenes we played out in her apartment or on a bench in Central Park when she scratched my face.

Night of the Gargoyle
#MyWorstDate I pulled into the Seaport Diner in my brother's pickup on a Sunday night just after sunset. I would finally be meeting up with the girl I had been talking to online for the better part of the year. I was nervous. Meeting girls from the internet was not something I made a habit of doing, particularly back then. But I felt like she and I had something going on. From day one we just seemed to click whenever we would talk. So as nervous as I was I was also extremely hopeful. The fact that she was gorgeous in every picture I had ever seen of her probably contributed to that hope as well.

Electric Feel
So much has happened. So many hours have gone by. So many laughs have been had between us, so many tears shed. We have grown closer. I am closer to you than I have been with anyone else. There have been times when I have almost given up. On us. On me. On everything I've worked for and striven for my whole life. And there have been times when I've felt I have finally made it. I have finally found all I am meant to find in another person, and I never need to worry about being alone again. I have finally won.

The All Too Familiar Tale of Two Lovers
It’s Friday night. You’re off work and your friends have all planned a night out on the town. You’re dressed in the latest fashion and everyone takes a Snapchat selfie before they leave in the Uber to let everyone know “what’s up.” You get to the bar/concert/event or whatever it is, have a couple drinks and some fun and maybe even meet someone worth talking to for more than 5 minutes. He’s cute, he’s in a band, studying at a top university and is extremely well read. You hit it off so well that you end up going on a couple more dates the following weeks and you may even end up sleeping together a few times. After a few weeks maybe even months of seeing each other you start expressing how happy he makes you and how you love spending time together, and he may even return these feelings. Then weird things start to happen... he starts hitting you with "no replies" or maybe he’s seemingly always busy. You've been ghosted. He made you feel like things were going well and the sex was great! Now he doesn’t even have the balls to tell you how he really feels... so you have get over how great you imagined a relationship could be with someone you finally thought you connected with, and move on.

We Talked About Rocks...
I guess you could say that I was feeling quite excited about this date. We have been texting for quite a while and we seemed to be hitting it off pretty well. So when he invited me to go hiking and see the fall foliage, I was pretty pumped. I got ready and put on my best looking pair of work out pants, the ones that made my booty look very nice, and a cute black t-shirt and my new grey and black sneakers. I pulled my hair up into a tight ponytail and grabbed my black Nike drawstring bag, I was ready.

Lobster and Chocolate Liqueur
On this particular date, my birthday had just passed and my fiancé and I were celebrating. He took me into Norman, Oklahoma to eat Red Lobster, shop, and just have fun. We had gotten into town right about the time that Red Lobster opened, so that was awesome. I hate being in crowded restaurants. So we are seated and I ordered, for the first time in my life, lobster and shrimp. I had never had a whole lobster before so I was excited! The waiter then took our menus and we were left to sit in romantic lighting, talking and stuffing our faces with delicious biscuits. I picked up the alcohol pamphlet they leave at your table and I was really studying when our waiter came, and he asked us if we wanted an alcoholic beverage to go with our dinner. I'm all like "eh, why not?" And I guess I forgot what I ordered...I have no idea why in the world I would do such a thing, but I did it. I ordered a freaking mudslide; chocolate liqueur and kaluha. It looked so yummy on the paper...but I was wrong. So, so dumb.

My Crazy Ex
So everyone has that one story about either a person they went on a date with or even dated. You know, where that person is super awkward or odd. There’s just something off about them that you can’t put your finger on. Well that’s how I felt when I first met, let’s call him, Al. He was cute, in a quirky weird kind of way, but I was attracted to that. We first met in high school, freshman year. Al was pretty popular, while I, on the other kept to a much smaller group of friends. So how he even noticed me is beyond my understanding. So we met, became friends, and eventually started dating. A normal progression right? I remember thinking during our friendship phase how good of a boyfriend he would be.

My Worst Date
It was winter time. Cold and dreary. I was 19 years old and twice over a new mother. I had found out my boyfriend of four years had been cheating on me with his sister's best friend. I had thought he was out working many nights when, in fact, they were sleeping together and staying in his car those nights. I was devastated. My youngest was just a few months old.
