Borderless World in a Postcolonial Paradox: Can the Subaltern Speak? Are lost myths valid in our world?

For all my life, I have never understood America, for I was born in Korea, raised in Japan and Italy. I even taught at a racist university in Oklahoma for thirty years, but had to resign because of my cancer.

I am permanently disabled now. I still do not understand his great country. However, Korea, Japan and Italy are not exactly paradise.

Antonio Gramsci's (1891-1937) used the term "subaltern" to represent the oppressed while Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak's essay "Can the Subaltern Speak?" questions the claims that the oppressed can "speak" for the Indian voices once silenced. As India becomes the most populated country in the world, because China had a one child policy to slow down the population. On January 1, 2016, China ended the policy because it was too effective.

Indeed, if an ultrasound showed the gender to be female, the family would abort because girls are not valued in a Confucian society where the sons are responsible for caring for their elderly parents.

Interestingly, in America, because it is so expensive to raise children, the white majority population by 2045 will start to become the minority as the abortion rate increases even though the far right is promoting large families. In states like Oklahoma, it is illegal to abort even if raped. Sadly my own father raped my sister as a child daily and I was forced to not report it or he would kill the family. My sister died young and could never function in life. She refused to have a funeral. Where is the Baptist Church support abused children and demanding justice? Silence.

A Colombian friend of mine loves Jesus but hates the Catholic Church as Satanic because of the abuse against children. She testified and put people to jail but is in hidding because the Drug Cartel uses the Catholic Church. Gabriel José García Márquez wrote about these abuses but had to use Magical Realism because many of his journalist friends died on the streets for reporting the truth. . . I learned Spanish because I so love how he writes and his message of unity is a crazy world.

Perhaps, myths and magic are ways to uncover the "subaltern." You might think we live on one planet, and we are one people. That sounds wonderful.

However, we live in multiple worlds, with multiple languages, multiple governments, and multiple problems. Even in Oklahoma, we live in separate worlds governed by separate mythologies. This stated was supposed to be for Native Americans, but when they discovered Black Gold or Oil, the FBI was created in Oklahoma to steal it. The former head of the FBI teaches at the racist university I worked in, and they even offered me a job, along with the CIA and the Secret Service. No thank you, I have a soul. I don't need to sell out. My mother escaped North Korea. She valued freedom, not slavery

I am a Mindful Wellness Coach, and I feel the mind is our enemy. Indeed, we live in our minds and our own social constructions. Yes, we share many psychological, political, and economical similarities. However, we seem to live in different shared worlds.

Listen to the song "GOD SAVE THE QUEEN" by Sex Pistols from the last 1970's By approaching this anti-anthem and the role the Sex Pistols had in the formation of the punk movement, one will be better able to understand the "punk" in cyber"punk." When science fiction needed a stylistic edge, a genre was invented called cyberpunk. It is important to investigate the origins of punk to return to its roots. And a great place to start is with the Sex Pistols.

In a sense, "God Save the Queen" is the anti-anthem for the entire punk movement, for I used to be punker. My hair color was different and I dated women who were punkers.

Once upon a time, this song was a social message to awaken the forgotten youth of England and America about what was needed in their lives: respect. Unfortunately, today punk has become a huge capitalistic machine making millions as kids, teenagers and adults united try to look be punk-like. Its original message has been lost. It has become part of the conformity and norm.

When you listen to "My Country Tis of Thee," you might hear British anthem "God Save the Queen." Read the lyrics to both songs. They are similar to each other. Tough we do not have Kings and Queens in America, we still have the rich (our royalty) controlling the wealth and power of this country. The anger comes from the punk movement fighting against what the Queen symbolizes: arrogance, opulence, and oppression.

The Queen symbolizes "no future to the youth" because she represents the rich you have forgotten the poor. "Fascism" represents worshipping of mother land. America is now ruled by the Taco King, and we live in the Taco Matrix where there is no future.
