So did we Talk?

The power of communication and why it’s a must to keep in touch….. So, did we Talk?

Communication is the solvent of all problems, and is the foundation for personal development." - Peter Shepherd

As has been rightly stated, all humans are social beings, it is evident that what we desire is attention and recognition. In this rapidly evolving social media landscape, both can be attained through commitment, hard work, and learning. We universally agree that we seek to inspire others and become a topic of conversation, and we are willing to go to great lengths to achieve this, whether it involves studying, traveling, or taking risks.

But how many of us are genuinely satisfied and at peace with our accomplishments? It’s not merely about success; rather, the real issue is whether we've formed a connection, whether we’ve touched someone’s soul, if our achievements made any impact… or simply put, “were we able to engage, converse, relax with others on various topics, shared feelings with loved ones, or expressed gratitude to someone who valued us? “

So, did we talk?

When we consider a conversation without monetary worth as a waste of time, we are essentially comparing our relationships, friendships, acquaintances, and even family to a profit and loss equation

In the rapid corporate environment where time equates to money, we must be more mindful about how we allocate our time, as juggling personal and professional responsibilities appears to be a luxury individuals cannot sustain, it should never come to a point where one must choose personal or profession, or profession over personal or vice versa. In facing this dilemma, we understand that attaining a measure of happiness along with a touch of satisfaction can solely be realized through effective time management, or a very strong desire to connect… which unfortunately most of us lack.

So why do we need to talk? or have a conversation or stay in touch?

The primary response to this question is to express our concern, care, love, and above all, a connection that we cherish with that individual; furthermore, words are the sole means that convey immense worth to someone without actually costing anything.

Engaging in dialogue with a friend, family member, colleagues, or loved ones not only strengthens relationships but can also leave a lasting impression on the individual you conversed with. By sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and expressing feelings, we create bonds that support us during life’s highs and lows.

A good conversation can act like a medicine , in times of stress when our vision losses clarity , and we are unable to think and make decisions, when we converse with someone familiar or anyone within our circle who is accessible ,we might not be provided with a solution, but we feel relieved, because at times expressing ourselves and having someone hear our thoughts is all we require to feel calm and think clearly

Furthermore at times, we find solutions to our problems when they are viewed from another perspective by the person we are conversing with, and in exchange, it fosters a strong bond of trust with those we rely on during difficult times, all achieved through a conversation over the phone or in person, and the best part is that it costs nothing.

Miscommunication, or a lack of communication, can lead to misunderstandings and, in many instances, conflict. Therefore, unless we engage in discussion to resolve the problem, it may inflict lasting harm on our relationships and impact how we feel about others, In other terms, discussing and addressing a problem also demonstrates bravery, elevates one's character, and enhances their worth in the perception of others, all through a dialogue rather than a financial exchange. Therefore, engaging in conversation may be seen as the most advantageous deal in the business realm, as it involves no monetary transactions but solely the trade of words to attain satisfaction and resolving an issue.

Furthermore, conversing with our friends, family, and loved ones, as well as others, activates our brains, improving cognitive abilities like memory, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Discussing intricate concepts or arguing various perspectives stimulates our thinking and fosters intellectual development.

So, the question arises, how do we communicate and /or do we find it worth to communicate and talk?

well there is no two opinions on it , engaging in conversation and communication is as vital for human existence as food, water, and sleep , we cannot survive without having someone to talk and express to , We cannot thrive without someone to converse with and share our thoughts, which is why we seek out friends, colleagues, and other relationships in addition to those that naturally come from family, such as parents and siblings. While family may hold the highest priority, it is the relationships we cultivate, the connections we forge, and the friends and acquaintances we gather throughout our lives, these are the ones that provide us with the essential vitality we need, they gives us oxygen to breathe , they serve as a spirit to our bodies, those additional pulses to the heart, the adrenaline surge, the delight in happiness, and the sentiments in our emotions.

So without a doubt , if we possess these truly remarkable individuals in our lives who support us without conditions and are willing to engage in every one of our discussions and are ready to listen to our any and all conversations , or even if you possess only one of them, consider yourself fortunate and grab that phone, which you value more than your own existence, and make that call, send that message, and engage in conversation...
