Should Women Have the Right to Have an Abortion?

If you are one of the people that replied no to the title or just want to know a bit more about the subject keep reading.

I find it astonishing that now from once was a moderately progressive world, is now turning back, turning back in time to where women once again have less rights. We are starting from square one once more.

Women have always been on a lower pedestal than men and it has always been confusing to me. Women have provided children for men, cooked meals for men, cleaned the house for men while they’re at work. Filled jobs for men while they were in the army. All while the women are miss-treated.

If you were someone who thinks women should not have the right to get an abortion whether it be your religious beliefs, your political beliefs, or overall your selfish and downright rotten mindset, you should not be deserving to have a woman in your life. It’s all about these topics until your wife gets pregnant with another man’s baby, or your young daughter gets raped by a random person or by a family member. Abortion rights should not be decided by men who think they have a right to every woman's body around the US.

I have a lot to say about the supreme court members, but that could take a while, so I will just share with you a story that my friend shared with me. My friend was in the car with her guy friend and his friend. The subject of abortion happen to be brought up and this guys friend mentioned how much respect he has for the Supreme Court and the Government. my friend then proceeded to ask him to name at least one, not all, just one of the supreme court members and he was left speechless. Nobody should not be supporting this decision, especially if you want to put your trust and respect into someone that you can’t even name.

It irks me the most that there are women in the world that also support this decision. I’ve heard the phrase “no uterus, no decision,” but it’s almost as a palling that some women will turn down others of a life-changing decision. I don’t care if you were raised Christian and that thought it was put into your mind at a very young age, or if you just started believing in the beliefs you do, but I cannot grasp that you could deny someone of something so important.

I’ve used examples for wanting abortion such as rape and incest, but I also think it is 100% valid to get an abortion even if you are not ready to bring life into this world. People also do not consider the fact that if a woman is pregnant and has a health condition or a mishap, and she absolutely needs to remove the fetus in order for her to survive and remain full health.

A lot of people say things such as “Why have sex if you are not willing to think about the effects?”In this day and age people care so much about teachers and school curriculums teaching kids about gay rights, however, they never teach the repercussions and the health benefits of safe sex. It’s weird to me how people will go the extra mile to prevent students from learning about human rights, meanwhile they will not teach them about the production of the lives they are trying to conserve. If teens, adults, seniors, whoever want to have sex solely four pleasurable purposes, that is completely their decision and if you think that is yours or if it bothers you then just mind your own business.

I am a minor myself and luckily I was able to have been brought up by a very educated mother, but some young girls like me lack educated parents in this field, or parents at all. With no help from school systems or people in their communities, girls will take it upon themselves to get an abortion (such as the coat hanger method), while never know the risks of these scenarios.

Sadly for those watching the news and following up on this topic, state by state they are slowly deciding the fate for generations of women to come by forcing us to go through extreme measures to perform an abortion.

I could talk about this subject a lot more and I can possibly in the future, since this is my first story/article, I will release test and see how everyone feels about it. Obviously since there are different views wherever you go, I will get mixed feedback. even if you might disagree with me, I hope you took the time to read this and see a bit clearer. If you if you are a woman or identify as a woman, just know that we will be able to get through this as long as we rise up, speak out, spread the word, and continuing sharing our voices. Stay strong!
