Scorpittarius

My duality

By MonaPublished 5 years ago 4 min read

I am Scorpitarius! In case you are wondering, no, it is not a thing. But as a teenager, I remember being so proud of the combination between Scorpio and Sagittarius that I took pages of printer paper, and various bright crayons only to proceed writing the word out in big bubble letters and to glue it to my wall. For all the adults reading this, yes it did take the paint off and my mother still brings it up to this very day. In truth, I had just been introduced to the concept of zodiac cusps from a magazine that I was entirely too young to be reading and it resonated so profoundly that I took it to heart.

With every quiz and test, I took titled “Which sign are you most like?” I would fall deeper into this trap of being both because without fail I would get either Scorpio or Sagittarius. This only reinforced my idea that there were cusp signs and I was one of the lucky people who got to experience such majesty. As an adult millennial, I am still very much into Astrology, but my understanding of it has changed along with my understanding of who I am. This is a good thing, not only does it show growth but there are no such things as cusps signs so I suppose it's good that I didn't get that tattooed on my body; sorry teenage me.

As I have grown, I find that I am adventurous, kind, loving, and passionate. I am driven when it is something that I want, but I will flake on you in a heartbeat if I doubt myself or the circumstances. I will go to bat for my friends, even if it means doing something that goes against my core beliefs. I also love when the seasons change more than the actual seasons themselves. I suppose this is due to my enjoyment in the lack of predictability where the weather is concerned versus the constant heat of summer or any other season.

These traits have led me to realize that I am one hundred percent a Sagittarius with a lot of Scorpio influences in my chart. Having a chance to look over it for myself, everything in it makes sense all while doing a spectacular job of explaining why I am the way that I am. My sun sign is that of a Sagittarius, which means my core beliefs should mostly align with this sign, and they do. I love to travel, I hate predictability, and I don't quite get the concept of marriage, even though I have been married and monogamous for 9 years.

My moon sign is in Pisces, which would have you under the impression that I can be emotional, and vulnerable without warning. That however is not the case, because I am an emotional gangsta. That and the fact that your moon sign primarily dictates your instincts and/or your habits. With that in mind, my Pisces moon is what dictates my compassion, and sensitive nature towards others. It is what keeps me hopeful while making me a little bit of a dreamer no matter the time. It's what helps me see every side of any person's perspective even if they have hurt me.

The last bit of information you will get about my chart is that my Rising sign is in Leo. This is how I am preserved by the world and that hurts. With Leos, you either love them or hate them and I personally adore them. I have only met one that I did not mesh well with in my entire life. In my opinion, they are the second-best sign that there is, however, I have no desire to be viewed as one. They tend to be loud, boastful, arrogant, people who are never wrong. But, I will say that they fight for the people closest to them with everything they have. They will give you the shirt off of their back, as long as you agree that it looked better on them. They will fight for you only to tell you how you should have listened to them in the first place. If you had, things would have turned out differently; at least, this is my experience with them.

They are perfectly imperfect people in their own right, whom I adore. I am just not a fan of the concept that upon meeting me the world assumes I am a Leo instead of realizing that I am a fun-loving Sagittarius. We as the human race are made of stardust, consciousness, and hope. We at our core strive for the same things, Love, compassion, and that we will always be able to take care of our families. The thing that makes us different is what is written in the stars about us. Your chart can tell you your love language is such depth that it may leave you feeling seen, and vulnerable. It can tell you why you process information the way that you do.

It can even give you an in-depth look at your parents and why they raised you the way that they did. I resonate with my entire chart, sun, moon, rising, and every other placement. I am complex and so simple all in one body, I adore that about myself. Yet, at my core, I can say with all the confidence in the world. I am a Sagittarius in all its glory and majesty, and I wouldn't change that for the world.
