Princess Diana: The Smile That Stopped Me in My Tracks
An aura that was impossible to ignore a special woman 👩

It was a crisp autumn evening in 1995 when I had an encounter that would stay with me forever.
There I was, a regular 20-something, waiting for the 27 bus to take me home to Camden Town after a day of hanging out with friends on Kensington High Street.
Little did I know that this ordinary moment would turn into an extraordinary memory.
As I stood at the bus stop, my eyes wandered to a nearby shop — Snow + Rock — London Kensington behind me having a cigarette.
That’s when I saw her — the People’s Princess herself, Diana, stepping out of a store with a shopping bag in hand.
She was tall, elegant, and radiated an aura that was impossible to ignore.
Our eyes met for a brief moment, and she flashed that famous smile — the one that could light up a room and melt hearts across the globe.
It was a smile that spoke volumes, conveying warmth, kindness, and a touch of mischief. In that fleeting instant, I felt as if I was the only person in the world.
The Magic of 90s Kensington High Street
Kensington High Street in the 90s was a different world. No smartphones, no social media — just real people living in the moment. It was a place where you could bump into anyone.
I meet a school friend of King charles who was homeless (An aristocrat) yes homelessness holds no status very knowlegeable a teacher to anyone that bumped into him. Apart from him meeting other celebrites like the Danish Model Helena christensen and other famous people in 90s.
We soaked so much knowledge from him, also from struggling artists, celebrity, supermodels, movies stars to literal royalty.
- Celebrity Spotting: The area was a hotspot for celeb sightings
- Authentic Connections: People talked face-to-face, not through screens
- Diverse Crowd: A mix of locals, tourists, and the occasional royal
The Diana Effect
Princess Diana’s presence on Kensington High Street wasn’t just a random occurrence. She was known to frequent the area, she resided litterally down the road, often visiting local shops and restaurants sometimes with security or without.
Her down-to-earth nature made her seem both extraordinary and relatable at the same time.
- Fashion Icon: Diana’s style influenced millions
- People’s Princess: Her approachability made her beloved by all
- Charitable Heart: Known for her humanitarian work

A Moment Frozen in Time
That brief encounter left an indelible mark on my memory. Diana’s beauty, her iconic smile, and the sheer surrealism of the moment created a perfect snapshot of 90s London life.
As I finally boarded the 27 bus home, I couldn’t help but feel I’d experienced something special told the guys the following day, my older siser and brother in law. She was a princess to everyone and had a lovely soul, an aura that made her who she was. Remember we are all frequency, energy that shines. We just need to learn what we have but do not abuse it be humble.
In a world before viral videos and instant uploads, this memory became my own personal treasure — a reminder of a simpler time when magic could happen on any ordinary street corner and happen to me. It gives you a different outlook in life especially seeing how we are with instant uploads and self gratification in the 21st century.
The world I come from stemmed on being humble, respectful, unique and sharing experiences with the rich and famous, the middle class, the beggar on the street what a time to be alive then.
A true English rose 🌹 that will never be forgotten to this planet siezes to exist.
Thank you 🙏🏿
