“Stay out of my life, I never wanna see you again.” Princess simply demanded, but really felt the complete opposite of what she said to Kenny.
“I always knew you were crazy, I was sleeping the whole time so that’s why I didn’t get back to you right away, do whatever you want I couldn’t care any less yo.” Kenny cold heartedly expressed back to her.
“Dear spirit guides, I’m not understanding why it doesn’t bother him if I left forever and for good. I don’t know how to stop thinking about what I thought was a connection between us and all I get is arrogance and bread crumbs. At this point I know I’ve made a huge mistake once again by trusting, basically jumping into a situation without getting to know the type of guy I’m dealing with and what’s on the inside. I’m just so tired, my energy is drained and I just wanna get my normal life back. This time I’m serious about moving on, I have some ideas that I want to bring to life and start managing my reality better. Spirit can you give me a head start?”
A young lady named Princess... Princess Ivy, is charming, witty, smart and a free spirited female. She’s had many lessons and cycles throughout her growth approaching age of 22 because she’s missed and have failed to realize what was important. Her programming and upbringing was strictly and religious like. With various forms of abandonment and childhood traumas created this snowball effect of wounds that had gone unnoticed, overlooked and not healed. She tried searching mostly within other people for confirmation of herself worth and true love in a male figure rather filling her own cup. Princess isn’t lazy, she’s thriving, talented and ambitious but towards all of the wrong sources. As advice from the real world is always commonly as known as “the truth that hurts,” in this particular situation ignorance is bliss. She’s favored by the spirit realms and inevitably balanced with the helping hand of the universe.
“Tomorrow I’m taking a taxi to work and on the way back home because the bus today almost caused an accident. That man is an idiot. Spirit, I thought about Kenny all day today. On top of that I feel as though I’m going crazy because “people” in this house is getting on my nerves with not doing their part in taking care of themselves. I shouldn’t have to clean up after anyone in this house like I’m the maid.
The only peace of mind I seem to find is when I’m writing and confiding in you spirit, I care about my well being and I just want my mind to calm down. What can we do to mend my heart of what I deem to be one of the worst disappointments and destructive love struggles I’ve ever experienced in my life? Thus far.”
“Because at this point I’m close to being scorned and I need your assistance in putting that to a stop, it’s out of hand with the way that I deal with my emotions. What I’m coming to realize is that whatever I seem to lack is way too apparent, broad, exposing and it just constantly shows when I get into these ugly situations. I’m really angry with myself that I hadn’t worked on any of the projects that I keep putting off and wasting time on. If I was busy then I wouldn’t care or have the time to ponder on how Kenny feels about me. Help me with my mental strength so I can get up.”
“Can you have the kids settle down, I’m just getting ready to meditate and take it down” Princess texted her sister Angie.
“I’m getting them ready for bed in a few, I don’t really see what noises their making like that except from when you were at work earlier.” Angie replied.
“I can hear them banging up against the wall, if they both are not doing it then one of them is doing it so it needs to stop. They are bad. When I come home from work I just wanna take my shower without having to clean the whole bathroom before hand and I just want peace and quiet.” Princess replied.
“I told you before moving here that things wouldn’t be to your expectations and now you constantly complain when it’s not just only your house.” Angie responds with a smart tone.
“You had a choice with moving too, your an adult and so is Ricky. What needs to happen is y’all need to start looking after yourselves with keeping things clean first of all and having Bells & Jerred going to sleep at least by 8:30 because they are staying up too late. I don’t wish to hear them when I’m coming in from work because I’m tired this is what I’m trying to get across.” Princess frustratingly texted back.
“Don’t worry about Ricky. It seems you try finding a reason to pick and everything cannot go your way.” Angie then expressed.
“You make it seem like I’m a bully and I’m tired of that, just keep the kids in order do your part. I’m paying half the rent just try to keep them down because I’m tired” Princess texted abruptly ending the discussion.
“Dear Spirit, today I’m waking up with extreme back pain thinking about Kenny. Why is it he’s the first thing on my mind when I open my eyes? The pain is shooting from my chest towards my spine and I’m trying my best not to feel sad. A year has been long enough for a woman to wait on a man to choose her and although I’m aware of this my heart seems to be stubborn for a person that is emotionally unavailable. He seems to be the man of my dreams on the outside physically but every time I try to talk to him, there’s no exchange in emotion and he’s brushing things off like it’s nothing when I walk away. How can this situation be turned around? Because I wish I could have that grand chance for me to make him feel the same way I’m feeling now and see how he likes it in return. Today I’m going to work on my bathing suit sketches while I’m on break at work and tap in to some music. Can you provide me with peace of mind while I work and forget about the pain a little bit?”
“I was looking for you yesterday, you must have done mid shift.” Zack said approaching Princess.
“Lol, yeah i haven’t been getting any of the overnights lately and soon as I’m done I try to fly out of here for that bus.” Princess with a friendly smile.
“If you do a double today then I could take you home, or we could hang out maybe go eat?” Zack nervously asking.
“Um, ehh I don’t think I feel like staying, I be so ready to go and get the smell of that dog gone popcorn off of my uniform, these days I just like to go straight home, I’m just not feeling well these days you know?” Princess nicely told him.
“You know you can talk to me right?” Zack asked.
“I do.. it’s just I don’t like to drown people in my drama.” She said.
“If it’s about ole boy, I already told you before what he’s about, if you just let me be around you, you wouldn’t even be thinking about him I promise you. You’re so beautiful and fly I just don’t understand why you keep on going back to ole dude.” He explained sounding painfully worried.
“It’s not about him, that’s the problem now you men always feel the world is surrounded by y’all and it’s not, I should have never told you from before.” She commented feisty.
“I can see it in your eyes how aggravated you are and it’s stealing away your beauty, it’s like the more you worry about him the less you wanna make money. What happened to the mixtape I gave you, did you listen to any one of the tracks or wrote something yet?” Zack asked disappointingly.
“I listened to 3 of the tracks so far but I just don’t have any energy to be writing any songs right now it’s like your beating me up for just wanting to be to myself.” She said.
“You know what, just let me know how your bathing suits are coming along the next time I see you. Maybe you do need some time but I don’t believe you just wanna be to yourself, you’re making a bunch of excuses not to focus on your stuff or at least create more time for the things that are important and I can see who you really are. Everybody can. I hate seeing you let some dude break you like this. When your ready to let me be here for you, you know to call me.” Zack had given a friendly reminder.
Zack is Princesses close buddy at work. At least that’s the status that she try keeping him in because she doesn’t want anything more with him. She likes him as a friend and he consistently wants to comfort her and build her up in her talents. She’s afraid that stronger feelings may come on when bad enough as it is she’s just trying to heal herself the best way she knows how. This means without any male friends.
“Dear Spirit, I’m starting to get fat and I’m thinking that maybe I should go on a strict diet. After getting out of the shower I’m looking in the mirror and noticed my stomach is bloated. How am I supposed to be creating bathing suits that are appealing for women when I’m not even in shape? Not to mention I’m having trouble singing, it’s like when I try to practice I can hardly breathe carefully with my notes. All I do is huff and puff and burn the house down, it’s a disaster and that’s the reason why I didn’t have a clear explanation for the mixtape Zack gave to me 2 months ago. Every time Kenny rejects me it seems like I order more and more food. Im now 188lbs, send me a sign on how to start my diet.”
Princess cried herself to sleep and replayed the situation in her head about Kenny. Initially Kenny was her supervisor at a warehouse job last year. She believed she had met the man of her dreams but he was neglecting his position taking advantage of not only her but as well as a few other women on the job. They had an instant connection, an intense attraction but this is all it was on Kenny’s end. He was a well known player and didn’t expect to have anything serious with her. She foolishly went in without questioning any of his motives and trusted him with her heart. She wrote him poetry and brought him an expensive gift because she was excited about him. Her confidence around him was extremely low because she viewed him in a brighter light than her own. Princess has a problem with doing this and it’s become a pattern over the years at a time. Eventually now causing her to step into that kind of unknown and toxic territory again. Only this time around all it took was 3 nights of passion with someone like Kenny, a player, a liar, sneaky, egotistical, arrogant, shallow, superficial, manipulative, smooth talking, tall, prince looking, flashy, money starving, womanizing, a show off, a know it all, and last but not least a NARCISSIST. Princess is learning a hard and valuable lesson from the very kind of person she believes to be her match.
“Dear Spirit, today I’m staying home. No one is in the house except me and I’m just going to cry. The pain isn’t gone yet and I’m still in a lot of pain to the point where I can feel it in my neck and in my throat. Each time I swallow it feels really heavy and hard for me to get any rest. Help me to let it out because I believe I’ve gotten myself stuck in a mental and spiritual attack with this man. I think that I blame myself completely for everything I’ve ever been through in my life with guys. I keep letting them in back to back and I’m easily distracted. I feel that this has been the worst pain I’ve ever experienced and it’s all because I desire to be in relationship. I want love in my life I’m not understanding why I can’t have it from the specific people that I want. I find that the people who want me, I do not want them and the people that I’m interested in they don’t seem to want me. They always like me but not enough to fight for me or to choose me. Why do I keep experiencing that? I’m really tired of going through heartache and I desire to focus on what’s best for me. I’m still so disappointed in what Kenny did, how he led me on but I’m willing to take some responsibility so that I can heal because I’m just so tired. If I make a vowel to reach my personal development goals, spirit would you dissolve the pain and worry each day? Would you promise to reveal the fruits of my labor in no time? Would you be sure that I receive an equal and reliable exchange from each of the tasks I invest my energy into? Will you help maximize my focus just as long as I get up and make an attempt each day? I vowel to start today.”
Princess cried as she wrote. She cried all day releasing her concerns to the universe. She had realized that for a long time it’s been a pattern with the way that she does things in her life. She looked within for the answers and found that maybe she is the problem. Because of her lack of love that she has for herself, she then understood that maybe it is impossible for other people to truly respect her.
She wanted to create a strong change and begin working on a firm foundation for herself. Self development is key and acknowledging what she was feeling. This was the last time Princess ever spoke of Kenny again or anyone of that matter that caused her great pain. She had wanted it all to go away so badly, that she got to work and let it go. She kept it in her heart that she has made a personal vowel with the higher powers that be and trusted the process.
Princess begin to work out 40 minutes a day practicing full body cardio. She drank plenty of water and fasting for 13 hours every day. It then turned into 1 hour workouts and eventually turning into 2 hour workouts as she became stronger. She meditated each morning and begin to develop a rich like mindset. She created a practice for herself that had become a permanent habit well after 22 days.
She fought and played through the pain. Even she made mistakes but had never given up not a single day. She kept track of her progress, kept records of her daily routines and creative investments. By the time 6 months had gone by compared to the last time she spoke of Kenny, Princess decreased in weight by 30 healthy pounds and has regained her belief in good days.
“Dear Spirit, I’m really thankful for the wonderful view of the beaming sunlight through my window this early afternoon. I can tell that you’re always watching me lol. Today is the viewing party for the sketches of the bathing suits that I’ve finally been finishing up. I have 50 sketches and so far 7 bathing suits that are actually made. I haven’t been able to invest much yet but I’m living in the moment and I feel optimistic for what’s to come. Tomorrow night I start the new skating/waitress position at the huge new franchise restaurant called MARTIN’S! I can’t wait to do my thing, send me luck!”
Princess switched employment during her transformation. She had been feeling at her best and was fit for the job. It was the first week of the grand opening for “MARTIN’S” restaurant. Princess was feeling and looking amazing. She received so much attention and was loving her position as a skater waitress. Lots of familiar faces from the city had been coming to eat just to see Princess. She was the talk of the town.
She had been working confidently, focusing on herself, having fun and thinking about her goals. She had been so laser focused that she didn’t have time to flirt back with any guys or men. The healing process had been pretty well and she never removed that vowel from her heart. Finally sticking to what was important to her had been a lifetime goal. Taking full responsibility for everything that goes down in her life, she could not be budged. Shining bright and minding her business she continued until one closing night at MARTIN’s..
“Is that the owner?” Jessica frighteningly asked Princess.
“Yup, that’s Martin Cleveland Jones. He was present last week once so yeah this is the second time he’s back.” Princess stated.
“Wow he’s so young looking. He looks 24!” Jessica with a gossipy tone.
“Hmm I guess so lol, it’s 11:11pm let’s get everything finished up so I can call my taxi.” Princess laughed.
Martin Cleveland Jones is the owner of the restaurant. Most of the ladies employed there appreciates his presence whenever he comes. Princess doesn’t care. She views him as just another male figure that has something nice going for himself and respects the business. She loves her job and keeps to herself. The manager Jake, Princess, Jessica and owner Martin were the last to leave for that night.
“What’s up man, business is going super this week I’m just ecstatic!” Martin with loud pronunciation to Jake.
“ABSOLUTELY, it’s great to see you again sir everything is above the charts for sure!” Jake in high volumes.
“Just call me Martin we’re all family I’m glad to have each of you apart of the team. I’ve come a long way.” He had strongly shaken Jakes hand.
“It is also my pleasure Mr. Martin it’s crazy fun here I got to tell you that!” Jessica said aloud.
“Lol she’s right Mr. Martin this kind of atmosphere is just what everyone needed.” Princess chimed in.
“Amazing lol I pray I last for centuries!” Martin laughed.
“OH THERE’S MY RIDE! Alright everyone I’ve got to get going!” Princess said.
“OK let’s go ahead and close it up, everything’s looking flawless.” Martin added.
Jessica leaves first, then Jake handing Martin some keys and Princess is in a hurry trying to get her purse on. Jake goes and start up his vehicle. Princess forgets to remove her apron, she has her skates in her hands, her phone and her diary is half way out of the pocket pouch on the left side. Jake has already left, Princess is jogging out towards her taxi and doesn’t realize her diary dropping out of the pocket pouch. Her taxi then pulls off the lot.
Martin has finished locking up and he heads over to his car. He then noticed a little black book on the ground where Princesses taxi initially pulled off from. Which was fairly close to Martins vehicle. He picked up the book and examined the outside front and back just normally. He gets in his car and turn on the light to further examine the book.
On the back were tiny pink initials labeled P.IVY. Not only does he blatantly know that Princess was the last to leave but he also knows that those are her initials and he’s questioning his better judgment in the moment. He doesn’t want to invade anyone’s privacy but he’s curious as to what he may find. Then he’s thinking about going off to speed after that taxi hoping to find her home so he can get it back to her. He felt it was already too late and went home to finding out life changing events about Princess.
Princess arrived to work the next day with panicked emotions. She kept her composure but she was extremely upset that she had lost her diary. She asked the manager Jake and all of her coworkers even though not everyone was on the previous shift. She continued her work the best way she knew how. An hour into work and the owner Martin showed up.
Princess was focused working and since the place is pretty big she hadn’t noticed that he was there. Martin goes to the manager Jake and asks him to come to the meeting room.
“How’s everything going Jake?” Martin with a big smile.
“Yeah I’m great Mr. Martin lol, you staying on the shift today?” Jake asked.
“I’m just dropping by something extremely important, this little black book belongs to one of the girls man.” Martin said secretively.
“Where’d you find that?” Jake shockingly asked.
“Outside the parking lot last night, Princess dropped it I assume can you give it to her? Plus that’s got to be her initials on the back too.” Martin said.
“Ooooh I see now, yeah sometimes I see her writing on her break I’ll definitely get to her yeah no problem!” Jake responded.
“I appreciate it alright I’ll see everyone later, I should be back around closing and get that book to her now actually she’s probably worried sick lol.” Martin genuinely laughed.
Jake is shaking in his pants to return Princesses diary. He’s worried how she might react. He’s a nervous wreck and doesn’t want to see a woman catching a fit possibly or maybe even getting too emotional. He goes and he’s wearing a brave face.
“Princess may I speak with you?” Jake asked her.
“Oh hey sure.” She plainly responded.
“Um, someone returned this little black book today, are these your initials here?” He asks then painfully swallows.
“Oh my goodness!!!! That’s mine yes, what, who gave this to you?!” She shouted asking.
“Uh I can’t say just know that they meant well and wanted me to do that for them because you were busy. I guess they found it somewhere yesterday after you misplaced it.” He said.
“But that’s not really adding up, why wouldn’t they have given it to me yesterday then after I misplaced it? I know for sure before leaving last night that I had it on me.” She said.
“Ughh I don’t know what happened honestly. I left before you did. Maybe you dropped it or something.” Jake said looking around.
Princess walked away and begin to look through her diary thoroughly. She smelled it and went through every page. She then finds a folded thin paper within the pages. Removing and opening that thin paper was a written check for $20,000. Princess gasped and became extremely scared.
She’s not understanding what’s going on to be exact and just needing a moment. Then she reads the check and it’s signed by Martin Cleveland Jones. Princess had remembered how she was in a rush that night replaying what happened in her head. She realized that the only one who was left at the restaurant that night was Martin and figured that her diary had fallen out of her apron. She then understood that there wasn’t a way for him to get to her address as well.
But she was still shocked and a little embarrassed that the owner would actually look into her personal business. She isn’t angry or mad but rather confused by his actions. As well as very thankful for what he just did. She is expecting him at closing time.
“How’s everybody doing tonight?” Martin walking in with a big smile.
They responded with smiles and gratitude. Princess pauses with cleaning up and slowly meets Martin halfway in.
“How are you Mr. Martin?” She asked with a little shameful sound.
“Today was a pretty nice day, busy but busy pays off you know?” He said.
“I do know all too well. Are you into reading Mr. Martin?” Princess asked.
“I love reading, it’s one of my favorite things to do. I can’t own a stable business or make business deals without knowing how to read lol.” Martin laughed.
“Thank you for what you did Mr. Martin.” She said.
“I don’t know about it. You never lost it. It’s with you.” He winked at her.
“Right. Got it.” She responded.
“And please do me a favor, you can call me Martin.” He kindly told her.
“Ok sure. Martin.” Princess said.
Princess invested into her own new endeavors and in return got her great abundance. She resigned from the restaurant and moved on to her real passions. She was able to move and get her a house of her very own. Four months later Martin, the owner of the restaurant found a way to reach her again.
“Hello?” Princess answering her phone.
“Hi good evening may I speak with Princess Ivy please?” He asked sweetly.
“Speaking, who is this?” Princess asked confused.
“Um hi there long time, it’s Martin.” He nervously sounded.
“Martin?! Hey how are you, uhhhh this is a surprise.” She said.
“I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you, can we meet?” He abruptly asked her.
Princess hang up the phone. She becomes stuck, frozen and time completely stops. She then received a text from Martin.
“Will you marry me?”
The end.
