Compassionate, artistic, intuitive, gentle, wise, musical. These are what are deemed my "nice fish" qualities.
My shark qualities in comparison could be fearful, overly trusting, sad, desire to escape reality, can be a victim or a martyr.
The definition of a "people person"...
In studying my star sign, I can attest to how oddly accurate these characteristics are. Pisces are known to be very friendly and therefore often found networking and spending time with various groups of people. I have spent the last 8 years of my life in sales, network marketing, entrepreneurship, and coaching. I am a social media trainer and a field manager for a beauty company. I thrive in social environments and love (almost) everyone. And yet on the flip side to that, Pisces love alone time, which I hold precious, waking early every day before anyone else to have some alone time before the day gets crazy.
Jesus Christ, Superstar, who are you, what do you say you are?
Intuition is one of my core values. My gut reaction is something I follow more than my heart or my head. And musical? Is this where I admit my years in Musical Theatre and being able to recite all the words to every Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, or The Lion King song? And it makes my heart sing (haha!) that my young children all know every word to Hamilton.
Overly trusting is a trait that I have retired. After 30 years of being overly trusting and being burned time and time again, I decided that while the Pisces people tend to be victims, I don't want to be anymore.
A fish out of water.
After spending a few years in Vancouver, I moved back to Calgary. Talk about a fish out of water. I crave the ocean, the water. I book hotels based on their pools and will dive in every chance I can get. Pisces love to swim, and are good at it, I always find people tend to enjoy things they are above average in.
Things are getting serious, oh wait, they always were.
In romantic relationships, Pisces tend to not be in short-term relationships. Another trait I can attest to. Even in high school, I never dated. It was steady boyfriend-girlfriend or nothing at all. I carried that on throughout adulthood. I have never been on a blind date, a single date, or dated in general. If you want a loyal, deeply passionate partner in life, seek out a Pisces.
Easy come, Easy Go (we are talking money here people!)
In the realm of career and money - Pisces thrive in creativity, dreaminess, and charity. All characteristics I have discovered are strengths of mine. One recommended career for Pisces is Veterinarian, which I am educated in as a Vet Technician and worked for a pet resort, fostered dogs, and volunteered in events for a local animal rescue. I must say, back to intuition, if my career becomes unaligned with my heart and my desires, I move on quickly. I am unable to compartmentalize a career and life, they are always intertwined. As for money, Pisces tend to not think things through, and spending is no different. You have never seen a paycheque come and go as quick as mine. Probably the root reason I just hired a money coach.
Individuals born under the Pisces sign are also sensitive souls. They get burned easily and do not forgive and forget quickly, if at all. This has rung true for me in my personal life, and unfortunately, I have had to come face to face with choosing to live with a situation where I know I will never fully forgive, or forget. Tears come easily, and my feelings get hurt often. While outwardly I appear strong, self-assured, and successful, I will burst into tears if someone doesn't like me or confronts me.
It's not your imagination.
As much as I often consider things like the enneagram, horoscopes, and other character-defining measures just for fun, in reading more about my sign I can't ignore how I am described to a T in every Pisces write-up that I've waded through. Sometimes, I think we bend and mold to shape into these fun little tests of personality, but the past doesn't lie, I am a Pisces to the core.
