Paranneting: Workshops & Playdates
Educational series with offerings for parents, educators and children

Parannenting Workshops
Paranneting workshops are here at last, to provide cozy gatherings for parents who are eager to enhance their parenting skills while fostering a supportive community (we all need a village!). These workshops serve as a dynamic platform where parents can come together, share their experiences, and learn from one another, and myself- Master of Social Work, parent educator and consultant. At the heart of these workshops is the dissemination of valuable information on a wide array of topics, including child development, early childhood education, and family wellbeing. The workshops are designed to be interactive and engaging, while providing caretakers with information, research, and applicable strategies to help their families thrive. By attending these sessions, parents gain insights into the complexities of raising children, from understanding developmental milestones to managing behavioral issues. These workshops provide a unique opportunity for parents to reflect on their parenting styles and explore new strategies that can enhance their family dynamics.
The social aspect of our parenting workshops cannot be overstated. These gatherings create a sense of community and belonging among parents who might otherwise feel isolated in their parenting journeys. In an increasingly digital world, the face-to-face interactions fostered in these workshops are invaluable! Parents have the chance to build lasting friendships, exchange ideas, and support one another through the challenges and triumphs of parenting, and perhaps make some friends for their kiddos, too! The workshops also address broader issues affecting family wellbeing, such as work-life balance, mental health, and relationship building. By focusing on the holistic development of both children and their families, these workshops empower parents to create nurturing environments that promote growth and resilience. In essence, Paranneting’s workshops are not just about imparting knowledge; they are about building a community that thrives on shared experiences and collective learning.

Parannenting Playdates
Paranneting Playdates offer a refreshing approach to child development and caretaking by emphasizing the importance of play-based, child-led learning. As an MSW and early childhood educator with over a decade of professional experience in childcare, I lead these purposeful playgroups with the aim of fostering a nurturing and educational environment. The concept of playdates is transformed into an enriching experience where children and their caretakers engage in activities that promote cognitive, social and emotional development alike. The playgroups will have activity stations, but children will not be expected to interact with the given materials in any specific ways- allowing children to explore their interests and express themselves freely. This approach respects the natural curiosity of children and honors their innate ability to learn through play. The activities are designed to be both fun and educational, incorporating elements of creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
For adults, these playdates are an opportunity to learn how to support child-led learning effectively. Caretakers are encouraged to observe and participate in the activities, gaining insights into how play can be a powerful tool for learning. They learn to recognize the subtle cues children give when they are engaged and how to respond in ways that enhance the child's exploration and understanding. These playdates also serve as a platform for caretakers to discuss challenges, share successes, and learn from one another's experiences in a supportive setting. The emphasis is on creating a community of learners, where both children and adults benefit from the shared experience. By participating in Paranneting Playdates, caretakers not only support their children's development but also enrich their own understanding of child-led learning. This dual focus on children and their caretakers ensures that the playgroups are a source of joy, learning, and connection for all involved.

I'm Anne Reboa, the founder of Paranneting! I am Master of Social Work and my coursework was heavily concentrated on children and family practice and theory, child and human development and person-in-environment approach. Further, I’m well- versed in early childhood education and clinical therapeutic practices. While in pursuit of licensure, I am hoping to become an online resource center for parents, caregivers in any capacity, and educators wanting the best for the little ones in their care.
