*Alarm rings*

7:30 A.M

It's the day of my graduation ceremony and I can't believe that this day has finally come. My roommate/best friend Chaeyoung (aka Rose) is still fast asleep, so I decided to wake her up in a special way. I grab her baby pink headphones, so I can play her favorite song while she's still catching some z's. As I'm getting ready to put on the song this feeling by the Chainsmokers, she suddenly wakes up and ends up startling me instead.

Y/N: "Chaeyoung, this isn't what it looks like."

I get ready to get out of the room, but she gets a hold of me first. She yanks my hair and starts screaming at the top of her lungs.

Chaeyoung: "Y/N!!!! Jung Y/N, how many times do I have to tell you to NOT touch my precious baby?" "You know I much I love these headphones."

Y/N: "I'm sorry Chaeyoung for my actions. Will you forgive me my beautiful roomie/bestie?"

Chaeyoung: "Fine, but this is the last warning I'm giving you because the next time you touch them, I will make you regret it."

Y/N : "okay. Okay. I swear in the name of God this is the last time. But what's the time?"

We both check the time and it's already 8:00 A.M and the ceremony starts at 9:00 A.M (Author p.o.v: yes, they fought for 30 minutes, now let's move on)

Both: "WTF!!!!!!!" "We only have an hour!!!"

Time Skip

At the Ceremony

Author p.o.v

The Commencer (idk what the actual name is) makes sure everyone is properly seated to start his long speech.

Commencer: "Hello everyone, my name is Professor Jang and I'm proud to be the commencer for the class of 2020 here at Chungnam University. As you can see, we have many students that have successfully made it through despite the hardships they might've had. I believe that each and every one of these students will live their own lives in the brightest way possible. It will be tough, I know, I've been there, but if you trust yourself, you will have the capability to be the best you'll ever be."

"15 minutes later"

Commencer: "Well, that is all that I have for this year's graduation class. Hope every student makes a decision they will never regret. Remember success is a journey not a destination. Congratulations to the class of 2020. Wish you all the very best. Thank you for your time."

After the ceremony ended, the students founded their family members and close friends to take pictures.

Y/N: "Mom. Dad. Hoseok Oppa. Dawon Eonni!!!"

Mrs. Jung: "y/n-ah. Congratulations my daughter. When did you grow up so fast my baby." *starts sobbing*

Mr. Jung: "Honey. She's not a baby anymore, she's a woman now, remember she's 22." *starts sniffling*

Y/N: "Mom. Dad. Stop overreacting. I'm not a little kid anymore and besides, everyone's looking at us now."

Dawon: "She's right mom. Dad. You didn't do this when I graduated, so don't do this to hers because it's humiliating."

Mr & Mrs. Jung: "Ok, fine. But where are the Parks, isn't your roommate Chaeyoung also graduating?

Out of the blue, Chaeyoung, her older brother Chanyeol, and her parents come walking towards them.

Everyone: "Group HUg!!"

After taking a bunch of selfies and group photos, they decide to eat dinner all together at a very popular black bean noodle restaurant named Paik's Noodle. They took the time to share lots of laughs, talk about their future, and enjoy this special moment as if it's their last.

When the sky started to get darker, they decided it was time to say their goodbyes. The Parks went to their home back in Australia, the Jungs took the train to Gwangju, while the two graduates drove a taxi back to their dorm.

As they went back to their warm dorm, they did their night routine and switched to their comfortable pajamas. It was amazing how fast these years flew. They both had their ups and downs, but in the end, they accepted everything and became the best of best friends in the world. Y/N majored in public health, dreams to be a caregiver for both children and the elderly has volunteered in many non-profit organizations, nursing homes, and hospitals. Chaeyoung, a music major, has decided to become a K-pop star, so she is planning on moving to Seoul to audition for YG entertainment (dream). Both of them are very sad to go their separate ways, but they both know this will be great for their dreams and knowing that they'll see each other often.

They share their last night as college dormmates watching the movie Titanic singing to the Chainsmokers playing boardgames, packing up the remainder of the stuff, and sharing their secrets they kept since high school (they were friends since then).

Next Morning

They both do their usual morning routines, eat breakfast, do last-minute clean-up and packing, and spend some more time before leaving.

Y/N: "Chaeyoung. I'm going to miss you so much my beautiful bestie." *sniffs*

Chaeyoung: "I'm going to miss you even more my cutie y/n-ie." *sniffs

Both: "remember to stay in touch with me." *tears up lots*

They both share their last touching moment before leaving the now empty dormitory.

Christmas 2021

Y/N P.O.V

It's that time of year again. Snow falling all over Seoul. Kids were laughing while having snowball fights, teenagers drinking hot cocoa, and the adults were laughing about how much time has flown this year. You're curious about how I've been doing right? Well, I'm currently working at two part-time jobs, one at a nursing home, another one at a local hospital for children. I love spending time with people and want to create even more memories from now on.

My family and I are on our way back from a road trip down at Ulsan visiting my grandparents. It was nice to see them because I haven't seen them since high school. My sister had an urgent business meeting, so she couldn't come along, but we got to video chat while we were there. My mom is currently driving in the dark even though he has a little trouble seeing the windows due to the crazy snowstorm.

Hoseok & Y/N: "Eomma. Watch out!!!"

You know that moment when you think that you're spending one of the best times of your life when something tragic happens. That moment when you think you're close to dying, you never expected it to happen that fast. It was that moment when another car comes ramming against our small black minivan and makes our car rolling around the snow. All of these things happened so fast, I never imagined being in this state of mind.

Blood trickling down my face. Snow moderately falling from the night sky. A blurry image coming up towards me.

???: "Hey. Are you okay? Hey you, lady?"

Y/N: "h-hel-help my family, sir. Help them please"

The unknown man comprehends her words and decides to call the emergency hospital.

???: "Hello, this is 119, right? There's an accident here at ------ street in Gwangju with a total of 4 badly injured people. Please hurry."

Hospital: "Ok, we'll be right there sir"

At the Emergency

Three hours after the surgery

???: "Doctor Kim, how is she? How are the other family members?"

Doctor Kim: "Who are you? What is your relationship with them?"

???: "I'm just a guy who witnessed the accident. I have no relationship with any of them, but I'm really worried about them."

Doctor Kim: "I'm sorry sir, but it's the hospital's rule to not discuss about patient's status if you don't have a relationship status with the patient(s)."

Suddenly a girl comes dashing through the doors sobbing about what she heard through the phone.

???: "DOCTOR!! DOCTOR!!! Where are they?? Where's my y/n?"

Doctor Kim: "and who are you miss?"

Chaeyoung: "I'm y/n's friend, Park Chaeyoung, the one you called 30 minutes ago."

(30 minutes ago)

Chaeyoung: "Hello this is Park Chaeyoung speaking."

Hospital: "Hi, Miss Park, this is ------ hospital in Gwangju speaking to inform you about an accident in regards to your friend Miss Jung y/n and her family. We need someone to speak with that has a relationship with the patients"

Chaeyoung: "Ok, mam, I will be there in 30 minutes."

Present time

Doctor Kim: "oh yes, mam, I'm afraid I have some good and bad news. Please come inside my office."

Chaeyoung: "*sobs* ok doctor. Thank you."

In the Office

Chaeyoung: "So there's good and bad news?"

Doctor Kim: "Yes, I'm afraid so. What would you like to hear first."

Chaeyoung: The good news first please doctor. Quick.

Doctor Kim: "The good news is your friend Miss Jung Y/N is alive and doing fairly well."

Chaeyoung: "Fairly...fairly well? What about the bad news."

Doctor Kim: "However the bad news is that her parents and older brother passed away. And also, I'm sorry to inform you this, but y/n is blind."

Chaeyoung: "what they're dead??? How?? Why?? She's what??? Blind?? OMG, I think I'm going to faint.

Doctor Kim: "I'm afraid so the collision was very bad that it killed the three of them, but it was a miracle that Miss Jung survived."

Chaeyoung: "who called you guys? Was it the guy in the hallway?"

Doctor Kim: "Yes, it was however, we don't know any information about him."

Chaeyoung: "thank you. Thank you doctor for your work."

Doctor Kim: "It's my pleasure and my duty Miss Park."

After the discussion, Chaeyoung decides to speak to the unknown man but finds him to not be there. She decides to ask one of the nurses at the information desk to see if she has seen him.

Chaeyoung: "Hi, my name is Park Chaeyoung, the one who was informed about the Jung family's accident. I have a question about the man who witnessed the accident."

Nurse: "Oh, we don't have any information on him, but I'm afraid I might have something of his he dropped before leaving the hospital."

The Nurse hands Chaeyoung a small rectangle card, supposedly a business card. Chaeyoung reads the card slowly and finally acknowledges the name on the card.

Chaeyoung: "Jeon- Jeon Jungkook?"

Why is Chaeyoung surprised by the name Jeon Jungkook? What will happen to y/n when she finds her parents and older brother dies?
