Once Upon a Time at University
Memories That Still Live in My Heart

When I close my eyes, I can still hear the bell ringing at the university, the laughter of my classmates, and the passion that filled my heart. Those days—my student days—were some of the best times of my life. Every morning, I stepped out of the house full of hope and excitement, heading toward the university, where my dreams began to take shape. I was a passionate student, overflowing with dreams. From the very beginning, I wanted to become a doctor. I wanted to study, progress, and reach a place where I could help not only myself but others too. I listened carefully in every class, took notes, and after lectures, I shared discussions, dreams, and meaningful laughs with my friends.
My confidence in class was so high that all my classmates would seek my advice on everything—from academics to personal matters. I wasn’t just a student—I was like a little leader in the room. I remember the day I had to give a lecture in class. I explained the lesson thoroughly, and at the end, my classmates had to ask me questions while I answered. With full seriousness, I looked at them and said:
“Respected doctors, if you have any questions, your professor is here to help. Feel free to ask!”
Everyone burst into laughter, but deep down I knew they trusted me. That moment is one of my favorite memories — a time when I not only shared knowledge but felt my own strength and place in the world.
And yet, I was never far from fun and mischief. I remember sticking candy under my classmates’ chairs just to see their surprised reactions and make everyone laugh. One unforgettable memory was from our anatomy class. We studied next to models of human bodies. I would quietly say, “This body has been pickled in salt!” when no one expected it, scaring and amusing my classmates. Those moments were full of life—even among lifeless models.
I dressed well, prepared myself with care, and stood out as one of the most engaged students. I loved learning, but I also valued friendship and connection. That academic environment kept my soul alive. I felt the future was in my hands. I built my best memories in those university hallways—from group lunches in the cafeteria to laughing for no reason while preparing for exams. Today, those memories live in my heart like treasure.
Now, when I look back at those days, I feel nostalgic. I miss the carefree energy, the youthful spirit, and the sense of progress. Life has taken me down other paths—ones filled with challenges—but that young woman inside me is still alive, with the same dreams, the same hope, and the same smile. I wrote this piece to remind myself that I am still Avid. I can still chase my goals. I can still become a doctor—or anything my heart desires. It doesn’t matter how hard life gets. What matters is that I haven’t let that inner light fade.
I want to share these memories with the world. Maybe someone, somewhere, will read this and feel inspired. Maybe a young girl, still on the road to her dreams, will know that it’s worth the fight. To everyone still on the journey, still holding onto their hopes and dreams — this story is for you. And for me. For the girl who once walked into university with a smile and truly believed she could change the world .
Every passing day, I feel more grateful for those simple and energetic days. Those moments shaped me and gave me the strength to stand today and still chase my dreams. Whenever I look back, I realize those memories are not just distant souvenirs, but lights that illuminate my future path. I hope we all can keep that light in our hearts and never let life’s hardships extinguish it.

Your student days sound amazing! I can picture you being so passionate and confident in class. Made me think of my own college days. I was super into coding then. We'd stay up late debugging. Did you ever have a project that really tested your skills like that? Also, those pranks sound hilarious!
