News About Queen Elizabeth II
what happened to Queen
Thursday, September 8, 2022, at about 10:30 in the morning, I learned of the death of Queen Elizabeth II. I'm not a diehard Royalist, I think the Commonwealth is useful, but I don't depend on it. I'm not overly political or wise or opinionated, but I do have something to share.
In a past life, a nine-year-old boy in 1972 was in the UK with his mother on holiday in her country. It was a very different world then; You can stand next to a policeman at 10 Downing Street. You can touch Stonehenge with your hands, the streets of London are always friendly to the young Canadian. On one clear occasion, early in the morning, my mother took me to see the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. None of us know about the journey that awaits us. My mother let me go to the big door. The crowd had already swelled when a policeman in uniform announced that only children could come to the door. He promised that three of his chiefs and their mothers would take care of the children. There were boys and girls from all over the world walking forward, and these three kind police officers worked their magic for all to see. Suddenly, the strong doors opened, and the three police officers ushered us through the door. We all walked forward, hoping to see the Queen's Guard's magical magic in action. I looked forward thinking. Some parents have given their children different cameras in the hope of getting great photos. After the guard finished, they came to greet a woman riding a horse to the door. He didn't wear a crown or a royal robe, he just had a pilot's hat and a smile. He told all the children who were silent and asked where they were from. She talked about her love for horses and being a mother to her children. He said he was happy that so many people wanted to visit him and thanked us for coming.
A little while later, he left; the kind workers slowly brought the children back to their parents. I told my mother that the woman smiled and thought she might be a queen. My mother thanked a policeman as we left the palace. Yes she is the longest serving monarch in British history, yes she is the head of the Commonwealth, but more to me she is the woman who made a group of children smile on a horse. He went on his way that morning; she is the woman, the king that I will always remember. God bless you, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor. You are part of UK history forever. You have a place in the history of the world, and you will be loved by many people forever. May heaven welcome you, and may the news be sweet to you. He has appointed more than 15 prime ministers, visited more than 100 countries and seen world change. He continued to work in his profession until the end of his life. But Queen Elizabeth II, you will forever be the monarch who visited children and smiled. You will be a mother who spends a few moments talking to the children who come to her door. You gave a young man something and someone to believe.
I ended this story for you with a smile. I will miss your leadership, your will and your grace. I will pray for your children and grandchildren in the difficult days ahead.
Whatever you think of the monarchy, please pray for the British people. They lost a special woman, an elegant queen and part of their past. Thank you for reading this article. Feel free to comment or share your memories. Subscribe and share this article if you like.
