My Worst Date Ever

Have you ever had a lackluster evening with a blind date?

A boring conversation with a friend of a friend? Well, consider yourself lucky, because a date that my friend experience will probably cause you to never go on another date again.

We'll call my friend "L" for short, and the first thing you need to know is that she's a Lesbian. This story had taken place years ago when personal ads were actually printed in the newspaper. My friend "L" answered a “woman seeking women” ad and set up a date with another women we'll call "B". L headed over to B’s house to pick her up, and found a hoarder’s paradise of a home containing a jumpy, hyper and somewhat disheveled woman who never stopped talking. B suggested that they go out in her rowboat at a nearby lake; L agrees.

Here’s where things went downhill. B insisted on bringing her cat with them on the boat claiming that she takes the kitty everywhere. And so they did.

Now I could say that the cat behaved it's self, but this wouldn't be a worst date story if I said that, cause the moment they got onto the boat and were sailing away from the shore, the cat started hissing and scratching L on the arm's, legs, and I think even her face. B tried her best to calm down her cat, but nothing worked and by the time they got back to the docks, L was covered head to toe with red scratch marks.

After that, L insisted on ending the date then and there, but B thought that it might be a good idea if L came inside and ate dinner together.

But with seeing the stated of her house and imaging what the inside would look like, she hurriedly declined the offer and ran out of there has fast as she could.

Some time later L met her partner J (still together!), and one day they were comparing notes on bad dates, and it turned out that J had also gone on a first/last date with Crazy B and her cat! I’d say it’s a small world, but the lesbian community in central Connecticut actually is quite small. Still, it was very funny. We still wonder how many first dates B has had that never had a second date.

The End!
