My Saturday Moon

There I sat, middle of a stressful work day. My mind has hit a mental brick wall and functioning seems to no longer be an option. Gave it some quick thought and this was the perfect time to take my last break of the day.

So I took a stroll to the furthest water cooler, hoping I could catch some random office chatter with thought of completely forgetting about this office workload!

Wait! Who is that walking out of HR? She definitely changed my mental state on this slow hour that seemed to be taking all day! I hate the 3pm hour on a Friday!

I tried to get closer to the office, getting some quality ear hustle in trying to find out what floor she is going to be working on! Couldn’t make things out due to the miscellaneous surrounding office chatter!

So I circled around to the mailroom, pretending to get some mail but only hoping she would make eye contact with me! I circled back towards the way of HR, hoping that she would leave the office while I was walking down the hallway!

She looked up, I froze!

She smiled, I dozed!

She turned away, my heart turned to broken clay!

She started to walk, I regained myself!

Her walk got faster, I made my way!

She suddenly turned around, it was my rapid foot steps that gave me away!

She smiled again and ask was I going to speak this time!

Told her I didn’t want to mess up the moment and just enjoy the moonlight during dinner time!

She laughed and asked what was I talking about. I told her, “if you come and see the moon with me tomorrow night, I promise to make every minute before that unlike any time she has ever spent with anyone.”

She mentioned favor to the idea but it wasn’t pictured to start something with someone with such close access!

Her second thought came out loud and she asked, “where would theses moment be spent prior to seeing this moon on Saturday night you talk about with such joy?”, she said. He thought for a moment as he gave a look of focus and determination.

She waited with anticipation as he thought out the night, prior to gazing at the moon.

Jay took his hand and calmly placed it on the wall, to the left side of her slightly above her head and said, “this would be a magical night that would unfold! Why should I spoil it and let loose such romantic details?”

Jay leaned in and started to sing in a soft low voice. His thoughts were too far gone and if someone from HR caught witness to this, he would be gone with a sexual harassment case! Nonetheless, Jay started to sing as he jumped off the cliff.

“Winter time is here! Snowflakes fall at an odd time of year! Fireplace crackling, and the tea is warm. Let’s make plans for the quiet storm. Can you be my Saturday moon? We can find a quiet spot away from this room! Set a table for two, and let’s talk about me and you! Let’s set the evening and take a walk down and hear some soft jazz play! Saw you coming out the office, so I had something to say! Go with me and have no hesitation as the moon is coming, so we can’t delay!”

Jay retreated from his position and gathered himself back to office mode! As he walked off, she caught the aroma of Tom Ford that Jay slightly wore! Jay turned back as he was walking off and said, “I’ll pick you up a six!”
