"Hi."
"Oh. Hi."
"Who are you?"
"I'm Kodah, who are you?"
"Wait. But, I'm Kodah?"
"No, you're not Kodah."
"Yes I am."
"If your Kodah, then who am I?"
"I don't know who you are if I don't even know myself."
"So, then who are we?"
"I don't know?"
"We must be Kodah!"
"You just said I'm not Kodah, you are."
"Well, you are just my reflection..."
...
"I'm, your reflection?"
"Yep."
"But you're my reflection?"
"No, I'm not. Your not real I'm sorry."
"Well then you're not real. Because sorry I don't know who you are, but I feel very real myself."
"If you don't know who I am, you can't call me your reflection because then that means you don't even know yourself!"
"But I don't know myself..."
"I wish I could help you, but I should worry about my own identity."
"Bit harsh."
"It's not harsh, when it's my own reflection."
I gaze at myself~
"Who are we."
We touch each other hands~
"My hand feels like your hand."
A strong connection embraces through thin glass~
"Kodah?"
"Yes, Kodah?"
"In the end you don't so much find yourself as you find someone who knows who you are."
~
10:15pm
"Hey Kodah, you up?"
"I'm your apparent reflection, of course I am."
"I need your help. You're my second version."
"I can't. I see my self's reflection as you. I can't even help myself."
"But, your... MY reflection! Just a distorted image of my own self who has lost all of his hope."- I say frustrated.
"Oh, but Kodah, haven't we always been two sides of the same coin?"
"NO! I know who I am, you don't!"
"So, then... what were you going to ask help for?"- I question my reflection.
Dang it. Caught me there.
"Did I now?"
Oh shit, I forgot you can hear me.
"Well, I am you, after all...."
"There's no way out of this. Right?"
"I don't know, your clueless is my clueless."
~
I stare into my own reflection's eyes~
"Just take over me, if you know me better than myself. Then just take over me."
"No, I want you to take over me. You tormented my own fears and self-doubt, it was you!"
"No, it was you! How was it me when it was you!"
"Wait. But... you are me."
...
"We've discussed this."
"But, you just said you were hurting yourself..."
"...I did..?"
"I think so..."
I rest my back on the mirror, sliding down slowly to the floor as my own reflection follows my every move.
"I always thought I was alone; I never realized my second version understood how I felt."
"Because I feel like that too, I am you."
"Only other people can tell you who you really are, but we can't even tell each other because, we are the same person."
"I'm sure one day one of us will win this war and live in each other's minds, finally beating down the wall blocking our true wisdom."
We touch our hands together against the mirror, palms touching.
"I hope so."
"I hope so too."
...

Authors notes:
I wrote this to identify how humans sometimes question their existence and reality when looking at your own identity in a mirror. It might seem confusing whose talking in the conversation, but it's me talking to myself and my own reflection.
