My Friend The "Cancer Lady"
Giving her credit
That is not a picture of her, but it does remind me of her. She will remain anonymous as she does not want to be 'killed' by the pharmaceutical industry. She treats people with cancer in her home/office daily. She was a teacher once and continues to be a teacher.
Her role is similar to that of a diabetic educator. Her teaching is primarily about a cancer treatment that doesn't include chemotherapy. I was introduced to her by another Native American friend who also had cancer. I didn't meet her until after chemotherapy.
This is what she helped me with, and it included Native American medicine. She grew up close to a reservation community, and her parents were good friends with the people living there.
She was adopted into the tribe by certain members and speaks much of the language and understands the humor and medicines that help with cancer, like chaga and essiac.
When I first met her, we talked about the importance of balancing hormones. She told me that women who have cancer have high estrogen levels and recommended I use a topical progesterone cream, which I have now been using for about 10 years.
What I noticed is that it helps my brain and my memory. I am required to stop taking it for 5 days a month. After two days, I feel like I have no brain. I forget names and other words. Then, once I start to reuse, it will take another two days to get back to normal. So, every month, I have 5 days without a brain.
After chemotherapy, I was getting sick all of the time. She recommended essiac. Essiac was a name given the herbal remedy by a nurse working with cancer patients. Her name was Caisse. She gives credit to Native American people for this herbal medicine.
When I have sniffles, or running nose or a cough in the morning and take essiac, that is all gone within an hour. It works for me. When I have run out, I get sick. I don't run out anymore.
She also recommended that I take vitamin D and B12 supplements. I did then have my B & D tested, and they weren't showing up in the testing. I was prescribed a very large dose of D, and told that if the B12 supplement didn't bring up my B12 up within a normal range, then I would need a monthly shot of B12.
I'm now on 5,000 mg a day of vitamin D3 daily, as prescribed by my current oncologist. He said he recommends that dosage for all of his cancer patients.
Since those vitamins weren't tested until after the chemotherapy, I don't know if I was that low before the treatment or if it was from the chemo. I was also enemic after chemotherapy. My oncologist at the time told me to fix that with my diet, as they weren't treating anemia with pills anymore.
My last visit was yesterday. I called her to schedule an appointment. I left a message and got a return call the next day, asking if I could come in the following day as there was an opening in the afternoon. When I got there, she had a phone call appointment to take that would only take a few minutes.
When we sat down for our visit, I told her that I wanted to talk about my memory, memory lapses, forgetting names, and other familiar words. The first thing she asked me was if I had gotten my hormones tested this year yet. I had them back in November. She asked if we had adjusted anything.
We talked about my not hearing to adjust anything. She said to please resend them as she just sees too many of those and couldn't remember mine right then.
Then she next asked if I had done a colon flush lately. And she pointed to a container that I remembered having bought but never used. I told her I never used it as I am regular every day and I have no trouble going number two.
She said there is more to it than that. Then she proceeded to tell me the more. Okay then, I will do a colon flush. If I toss the one I have, I will re-order one.
Next, we went to juicing as she asked if I wanted juice. I got a carrot juice that her helpers had made just before my visit. I then told her the "Sugar-free man" I had spoken with told me that carrots have high sugar and I probably shouldn't be drinking them so often or eating as much fruit.
She let me know that the juice has properties that, when juiced and drunk right away, will give me beneficial ingredients.
She follows the protocol from the people below:
The regimen is empirically based on observations made by Max Gerson, M.D., in his clinical practice and on his knowledge of research in cell biology at the time (1930s–1950s). National Cancer Institute
Charlotte Gerson is the daughter of the late Dr. Max Gerson, M.D. who founded a nutritional healing therapy for degenerative diseases including cancer. The Gerson Therapy is a type of “metabolic therapy” designed to eliminate toxins from the body and enhance immune function so that the body can defend itself against cancer. Dr. Gerson’s method is described in his book, “A Cancer Therapy: Results of Fifty Cases and the Cure of Advanced Cancer.” The Gerson Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to the alternative treatment of degenerative disease. Founded by Charlotte Gerson in 1977, it is the only source for information on the true and unmodified Gerson Therapy.
When I first met my friend, the "Cancer Lady," she told me she had gone for cancer treatment to a Gerson Cancer Center and has been cancer-free since. For around 34 years now. She told me that the first thing to go was her asthma, which was gone almost immediately.
Then, she talked about how the cancer took about a year to leave her. She had all of her testing down in Rochester, MN, at the Mayo clinic and hospital.
She said they wanted to schedule surgery for the next day, but she told them that she would think about it, as she had already read about the Gerson method and thought she would use that treatment.
She has been talking to and working with cancer patients since her recovery from cancer.
With a cancer that is treatable, probably not curable, I am so glad I found "The Cancer Lady". I was diagnosed in 2012, and with a recent PET scan and no cancer, I attribute that to my friend "The Cancer Lady" and not my 3-4 yearly oncologist appointments.

I am a nurse and my mother has cancer. I have always been against most western medicine. This is something im intrigued to look into now. Thank you! Very well written as well
🎉 Congrats on your Top Story! 📰✨ Super proud of you—so well deserved! 💪👏 Keep shining! 🌟😊
Totally agree that high estrogen causes cancer. Chemicals are xenoestrogens.
I don't think I could do chemo. I believe there is a herb to cure everything, if we only knew. Keep on being well, this is valuable info. Congrats on TS.

Well written, congrats 👏
So pleased you are cancer free right now. What a great story. I am a cancer survivor too. Complementary medicine definitely helped me through chemotherapy. Good on your friend for celebrating the benefits and not pushing them as a cure.
What a great survivor story for all Cancer observers and paitents.
There is so much we've come to learn about the importance of hormone balance, not only in women but also in men. Interesting story, Denise.
Oh wow, it's so fascinating that the progesterone cream helps with your memory. The world needs more people like her who can help people this way
Herbal remedies and a good diet can work miracles <3
