During his interview, Minz was asked "When 'WAP (ft. Davido)' happened, it blew up everywhere. It was so good. Tell me, did you have to pay Davido to make it happen? I need to know what's up. Did your management have to get to his management to pay? How did the whole linkup happen?" Minz responded:
MINZ: First of all, all flowers, respect, everything due to o01. The baddest for a reason. He didn't take a dime. Like not one kobo. You know, if Davido were to bill me, how I wan pay? We probably no go dey here, I go dey somewhere dey clean.
He just showed love, he really liked the record. Some people put him on to my music, shout out to them, I'm so grateful for having those people in my life. They put him on to my music and I remember they called me and I got that call. They were like Davido likes the song and he's already vibing to it in Dubai. They were in Dubai chilling and he heard the record. He started putting ideas down. Like, are you whining me? And then before I knew it, it starts becoming a reality. It starts becoming a reality little by little, and before you knew it, I was in a studio with Davido. And it became a reality.
Even when he came for the video shoot, I remember he surprised me. Like, he hit the door of the car and he told me this. He said: your life don change.
He didn't take money to jump on my song, but he told me my life don change.
Awww! Davido really sounds like a nice person based on a lot of stories we hear from especially upcomers who talk about their experience with him. What do you think about what Minz had to say?
