It’s our first anniversary, and I can’t help reminiscing about our first date that took us 3 weeks to plan due to the restrictions of Covid-19! I was so looking forward to an evening out with you! I felt full of life, whole, beautiful, and worthy after not being able to dress up and go out of the house for an entire year. The evening of our first real face-to-face conversation reminded me of a time when we were carefree, just doing whatever we wanted to do whenever we wanted to do it pre-COVID. Now, I can't believe we're here, you're finally here with me. I feel like it’s us against the world—life is funny like that huh? Babe, dinner looks amazing, and you've made all my favorites, but I don't want to eat just yet. I just want to focus on staying in this very moment in time with you cozied up next to me—is that okay love?

Yes, I’m feeling nostalgic, and this Mohave Rain Merlo we’re indulging in has me contemplating many more years to come as I taste the chocolate finish on the tip of my tongue! I'm laughing as we’re listening to Toni Braxton in the background, and the first thing I hear her say is, "my oh my, how can this be, there he goes talking in his sleep". My mind was starting to race because although it was only our first date, the Merlot, the ambiance, and your words were filling the room, satisfying my cerebral space, and stimulating every single part of me. Your every expression resonated a rhythm to my soul like an aria, and I did not want the evening to end. I was also taking great pleasure in watching your lips as the words flowed effortlessly over your tongue, and out of your beautiful mouth. Your seductive tone made me come alive; in more ways than one. Feeling your strong arms draped across my shoulders that evening positioned me out of breath out of time, and out of my mind, and that song put me in a particular headspace because I was enjoying every moment with you without intrusion, without infringement, and without interruption.

Babe, what I did know was that I wanted to spend the rest of that evening getting to know the depth of your very existence. I know it seemed extremely premature at the time, but I was contemplating your body in its purest form, and literally gasping for air because I was in such awe of you! You were truly a breath of fresh air—different from any other first date. Earlier on in the evening I can recall feeling confused but at the same time, I remember feeling a beautiful expulsion of warmth, and desire when you came to the door with a bottle of wine and a dozen of long-stem roses. In my mind I was thinking, this man knows exactly what to do, what to say, how to possess me with his kindness, as well as how to take control of my essence with a great bottle of wine! I have not met anyone else who could do that thus far. As I nestled up tightly beside you after feeling a chill in the air, I remember you taking your index finger and slightly skimming my upper thigh. I quickly examined your eyes and contemplated your lips, but you didn't utter a word! it was as if you wanted me to indulge in cerebral telepathy, and I obliged! I perused your mind copiously and I remember granting you permission in my mind, authorizing you to use the rest of your perfectly formed fingers to caress my thigh. However, you just took your index finger alone to my thigh, and what that did to me was unbelievable! That one stroke evoked my imagination making me thirst for more, insatiable as it was. I know this probably sounds outlandish now, but from that day forward, I had the audacity to ponder what it would be like to be your wife. I remember quivering at the mere thought of our next encounter because I knew full well your index finger alone would no longer suffice. Your hands were bursting with mystery, truth, confidences, and totality.

I needed you to completely fathom the fact that the ambiguities were truly what captivated me because I recognized right away it is where passion resided. My love, the supremacy and sovereignty of this force that is you, obliged me to contemplate our future, our love, and now this day. I adore you my king. Neither another soul nor entity shall ever come between us, this is my promise to you. Okay, I think we should plan to sleep in today. Pour me another glass please!
