During the interview on Your View Pidgin, Ruggedman was first asked "You get person?" to which Ruggedman said:
RUGGEDMAN: I'm always very private about it, but I no get, no.
"You get children?"
RUGGEDMAN: No. The crazy thing be say when I dey much younger, I vow not to have pikin out of wedlock. I still dey look am say whether na right decision I make last last, but still, I just decide because e dey take a lot from both parties, and I believe say for you to do that, e get to be with somebody wey you want dey with.
"You never see somebody since how many years?"
RUGGEDMAN: I don see some, but at the end of the day, e no pan out. Like, one wey I believe say by now I suppose don marry, don get children. But at some point, one rich man enter the picture wey dey give him mama contracts, so the mama make sure say she scatter everything, you understand? And that was like five or six years ago.
"You don pass 40, and I dey surprised because when you waka enter, for my head, wetin I see na responsible person."
RUGGEDMAN: But no be every responsible person don marry. Some irresponsible people dey married.
"Sometimes people dey talk say if man don reach certain age, him never marry, e fit be say na difficult person, make person no fit stay with am. So, you dey difficult?"
RUGGEDMAN: I no dey difficult. The only place wey I dey difficult na for food. I dey very picky, I no dey chop anyhow. My life dey very, very simple. One of the things wey I always tell people wey dey talk say life hard, I say life no hard—na the wrong decisions wey we dey knowingly make dey make things difficult. So, I no dey difficult, I just be very realistic human being. If we no blend, we no blend.
