
MBTI - an overview of the types
INFP - the dreamy, idealistic type. They tend to be quiet people who often prefer their own company though can be great mediators. They tend to be kind and peaceful people who also have a melancholy element. They are often seen as writers as they have an introverted and imaginative side and like to create and imagine scenarios.
ISFP - the artistic, individualistic type. They are artists who march to the beat of their own drum. They enjoy being by themselves and expressing themselves through some artistic outlet. They may be good at mediums like design or music where they have a good sense of colour and composition. They like seeing themselves as unique, different and artistic.
ENFP - the inspiring, motivator type - they are motivated to inspire others and are also deeply artistic and humanitarian. They like being around others though also have an introverted side. They like to express themselves through mediums such as music and poetry that are artistic and allow freedom of expression. They are often seen as the most open-minded of the personality types.
ESTP - The pragmatic, extroverted go-getter. They like to be around others and also to entertain and push against boundaries. They may be into sports or even extreme sports of some kind. They are both physical and social people so they like to be around others and entertain people in some way. Pragmatism and realism seems like something that they tend towards.
ENTP - The upbeat, engineer. Good with technical and intellectual topics. Likes to be upbeat and not take things too seriously. Likes to debate topics and play devils advocate. Their upbeat and extroverted nature makes them good with people, and they also have a joking or not too serious aspect to their personality which makes them fun as friends to be around.
INTP - the logical dreamer. Tends to be quiet and in the background. Also usually fairly technical and might assume position of 'doormat'. Might have good meditating qualities like INFP though tend to be a bit more antisocial. Their antisocial quality means they may want to retreat into the background or not be seen that often. When they socialize they can sometimes turn on a more accommodating or social side, though they are generally seen as fairly antisocial.
ESFP - the inspiring, upbeat entertaining type. Good at entertaining others while maintaining a positive and optimistic attitude. Tends to be good at things like singing, dancing etc, with an expansive and inspiring personality. Like ENFP likes to be inspiring and open minded and wants to help others in their endeavors. They are usually good and open-minded and friends who are known for their generous heart and energy. Their generosity and optimism is a quality that makes people drawn to them as friends.
INFJ - the mystical researcher. Tends to be disciplined, focused and scholarly. Wants to help others and act as advocate and is interested in acting out to help others with their goals while having a high standard in their own. They are also both introverts and extroverts and despite at core being introverts can appear fairly extroverted at times and turn on a more social side. At other times they may distance others when they go into their more introverted mode. They genuinely want to help others and have a sense of idealism and morality.
ISFJ - the dutiful, domestic type. Likes to serve and help others, and also establish a sense of orderliness and harmony in their personal space. Tends to value harmony and wanting to defend and help others. Having a sense of orderliness in their environment can be paramount, and they tend to be good at caring for an organized home. They are caring individuals who are able to harmonize and empathize well with others.
ISTJ - the dutiful, logical type. Tends to want to stick to certain traditions or rules that help them to focus on logic and realism. Tends to be very dutiful and hardworking and doesn't like to be lazy. They are both work and family oriented, with a good understanding of logical systems and a strong sense of routine and discipline.
ESTJ - the logical, traditional, social type. They tend to be highly social and dutiful while also being drawn to working with others and bringing people together. At times they may be abrupt as they value a no-nonsense approach. They tend to want to stick to the rules and have a strong sense of follow through. They are good at organizing people and bringing people together and are usually social people despite their at times abrupt nature.
ENFJ - the dedicated, extroverted, bookish type. Tends to do well in school and be good at working with deadlines and schedules. They could be a 'role model' student and might be known for being good in school. Interested in social sciences, politics, and may often be seen in roles such as a politician. Tends to be disciplined and interested in education
INTJ - the scholarly, bookish type. Tends to be very technical and interested in routines. Also may be very hardworking and good students. Very fixated on technical rules and structures. Known as strategists who like to plan ahead and have a solid technical foundation which makes them good at many intellectual and artistic areas. They may also excel in research and be able to give very accurate and detailed insights into areas they have studied or mastered.
ESFJ - the helpful, serving type. Likes to reach out to help others and perform acts of selfless or altruism. Interested in serving in their family or in their community, and have a sense of compassion around others. Tends to be interested in taking on a humble role where they can serve others rather than necessarily being in the spotlight. Like ISFj good at maintaining a sense of order and routine yet also interested in helping and serving others.
