'Married at First Sight' Season 10 Reunion After Decision Day
Some surprising things happened during the five months after couples made decisions about their marriages.

Just one week ago on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, viewers found out the decisions of the five married Washington, DC couples from Season 10 of Married at First Sight. The couples reunited on Wednesday, April 22 to give updates about what has happened in the five months since Decision Day.
The purpose of the reunion was for the couples to let viewers know what has been going on since they decided to stay married or to get a divorce. The couples usually look back on the good times and the challenging times they experienced together during their marriage. They also shared if they thought they made the right choice on Decision Day. Viewers want to know if the decisions the couple made are still the same.
It is not unusual for couples to have changed their minds about what they chose to do on Decision Day. Sometimes couples who said they wanted to stay married, changed their minds and decided to divorce. Sometimes their decisions are just the opposite. They initially said they wanted to divorce, but they changed their minds and said they wanted to stay married. However, most of the time, their decisions remain the same.
So, what happened when the five couples met with Kevin Frazier, co-host of Entertainment Tonight after they had been away from the cameras for five months?
Which Couples Changed Their Minds?
Only two of the couples said they wanted to stay married on Decision Day. They were Katie and Derek and Jessica and Austin. Last week's preview suggested that one of the wives had cheated, and that couple was no longer married.
Fans of the show surmised that it was Katie who cheated on Derek because she was torn about an ex-boyfriend a day before her wedding. So, was it Katie or Jessica who cheated?
Couples' Updates
Katie and Derek
Katie and Derek were the first ones to give an update on their marriage. After Decision Day, they moved into their own apartment. However, their marriage was short-lived. In just two nights, they were sleeping in separate bedrooms until they found someone to take over the year-long lease on the apartment.
Katie confessed that she was the one who initiated all the intimacy in their marriage. She admitted that she cheated on Derek during their marriage because her needs were not fulfilled with Derek. She said the connection with her ex-boyfriend was only physical, and she hasn't moved on with him. Both Katie and Derek have put Married at First Sight in their rearview mirrors and have moved on without each other.
Meka and Michael
Meka admitted she didn't feel good when she saw her bad behavior toward Michael on the tapes documenting their eight weeks of marriage. She apologized for acting the way she did. Michael still lied about his jobs and being a yoga instructor even when Frazier questioned him about his career. The host concluded that Michael looked like he was just learning to do yoga instead of teaching it. Michael didn't back down on being a yoga instructor.
Mindy and Zach
Mindy and Zach called it quits before Decision Day and did not appear on the last few episodes of the reality series. Zach told her on several occasions that he was not attracted to her. He never moved in with her as her husband.
Frazier called out Zach about talking in circles. He found out what Mindy had to put up with during their marriage. The Entertainment Tonight co-host asked Zach to apologize for the way he treated Mindy during the series. Zach did apologize in his "roundabout" way.
Mindy and Zach shared that they have moved on and are busy with their careers.
Jessica and Austin
Jessica and Austin are still married. They have worked out the only issue they had during the reality show. That was Austin's work schedule. They said they miss each other when they are apart, but it makes them appreciate each other when they are together.
When asked about plans for their future, they both agreed on getting a dog and a house first before they start a family in about 2-3 years.
Taylor and Brandon
During their marriage, Brandon moved in and out of the apartment and away from Taylor. Their marriage was very volatile. They decided to divorce on Decision Day.
Since then, Taylor and Brandon went to jail for an assault at a bar. They ended up filing restraining orders against each other. Because Brandon had so many issues against the production crew, he did not show up for the reunion. Taylor faced Kevin Frazier's questions alone.
Reunion of All the Couples (Except Brandon)
Since Brandon and Taylor have restraining orders against each other, they could not have been in the same place at the same time. Brandon probably would not have been there anyway.
Three of the wives had to appear in court for two days during Brandon and Taylor's court appearances. Katie, Meka, and Mindy said the hearing was intense. Michael was the only one who stood up for Brandon. At one point, Michael got up and left the room. Meka said it well when she announced that getting information from Michael was just like getting information from Brandon because they were friends and were sticking together whether what they were doing was right or wrong.
According to the court order, Taylor and Brandon cannot be in the same place at the same time. They cannot go to each other's houses. Taylor and Brandon cannot communicate even through a third party. In essence, they should not ever have anything else to do with each other. Taylor said that is exactly what she wants anyway. She has moved on and is dating again.
Season 10 is the first season where the couples have been very close. In the past, they went on separate honeymoons to different exotic places. Then they lived in their own dwellings away from the other couples. This season all couples went to the same honeymoon destination where they were in constant contact. After their honeymoon, they lived in the same apartment complex provided by the show. In other words, they saw one another very often, entertained together and knew what was going on in the others' marriages.
Another surprise that came out at the reunion was that a wife from one marriage was connected with a husband from another marriage. Katie and Zach went out on a date with each other. Later, Katie apologized to Mindy when she found out how terrible Zach was treating her.
A Nice Touch
All the wives became friends and got matching tattoos of the word "ten" on the inside of their ring finger. Meka said no matter how their marriage turned out, the women will be friends forever after having gone through the social experience together.
