Long distance relationship

I am in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend of almost 7 months and honestly I couldn’t be happier. For the first time ever said the 3 words 8 letters to someone and I don’t regret it at all. We even talked about marriage and starting a family together, he is the first guy I ever had those talks with like ever. The decisions that I made about him I really don’t regret at all.

People asked me “why am I in a long distance relationship” with him and I say “I am in it because we both make each other happy and sure in long distance but at the end of the day we are happy and we care about each other”. I have doubted long distance relationships before I never seen one last for a very long time. I wasn’t sure if I ever got into a long distance relationship that my relationship would last. I don’t regret being in a long distance relationship at all because once you find that one person who you know is worth it then try a long distance relationship.

Maintaining a long distance relationship hard work but at the end of the day all that hard work will pay off in the end. Long distance relationship is not for everybody but sometimes its right for some people. Make sure you and your partner are both wanting to be in a relationship and nothing else. When maintaining a long distance relationship you have to make sure you both want to and are committed to a long distance relationship. When in a long distance relationship you both have to be communicating because it just can’t be one person giving it there all and the other person isn’t and the relationship is not going to work out or not going to last very long.

With a long distance relationship you both have to find ways to go on dates and have fun until you both can see each other. Like for example my boyfriend and I will video chat for hours and sometimes we video chat so we can be the last person we speak or talk to. Just because you can’t physically see each other there are ways to where you can see each other like for example you can video chat whenever it is convent for the both of you. I would say you both should come up with virtual date ideas for when ever you both are free for example; virtual baking or a virtual movie date; just make sure you both are having fun and enjoying yourselves.

The distance shouldn’t matter to either of you at all. Communication is key but just don’t communicate to much because you won’t have to much to talk about whenever you final get to see you significant other in person. You are going to be stress about the relationship and you are going to doubt the relationship thinking if it even worth trying. The relationship is going to be hard but it will get easier as the time goes on.

When your in a long distance relationship you both have to be honest with each other. If your not honest with each other then do you really have a good relationship and do you even trust your significant other? With out trust do you even have a relationship? It will take for you to trust them when you first start talking to each other. A long distance is hard work and your going to face some hard and difficult times but you aren’t alone. During those times you will need someone to rely on and be there for you. During those times you will need someone there for you and when they are there for you don’t push them away. Pushing them away only makes things hard for the both of you. Make sure you and your partner are both having fun in the relationship.
