Understanding Heaven’s Gifts is Key to a Fulfilling Life

There are three essential lessons to learn in this life; upholding them forms the fundamental essence of a fulfilling existence.

The first is to live well. Whether in good times or bad, imbue life with beauty and live it to the fullest. Living is not about passing the days carelessly, but about approaching life with reverence and tenderness. In prosperity, embrace the beauty around you; in adversity, stay true to yourself and find sweetness in hardship. Eat every meal with care, cherish every encounter, turn the ordinary into poetry, and transform hardship into strength. This is the deepest response to life and the first lesson of our journey.

The second is to have love in your heart. Be inherently kind; treat yourself, your family, and your friends well, and believe that "love begets love." This kindness begins with self-acceptance—avoiding self-criticism and internal conflict. By upholding the foundation of self-love, you can then extend it to others. Treat family with gentleness and close friends with sincerity. Love in this world is never one-way; every bit of warmth you give will eventually return to you, accompanying you on your journey.

The third is to accept fate with equanimity. Accepting fate is not about giving up or "lying down," but about complete acceptance—accepting reality, accepting the gifts of heaven, and accepting the results of your efforts. Don't force things, don't be anxious; let nature take its course. This is the clarity gained from experiencing life, the open-mindedness found in the face of surprises, and the peace of mind that comes after giving your all. Accept what you gain with equanimity, accept what you lose with indifference, let go of attachments, follow your heart, and you will reap inner peace and freedom.

The Purpose of Our Hardships We will always encounter trials. Heaven won't give you what you want directly; instead, it helps you achieve fulfillment and growth in the most special ways.

If you crave strength, Heaven doesn't give you armor; instead, it gives you difficulties. Like unpolished jade that needs carving to achieve its smoothness, we must endure adversity to become resilient. Those moments of gritting your teeth will eventually transform into the strength to stand firm.

If you crave wisdom, Heaven doesn't offer answers; instead, it throws a multitude of questions at you. Wisdom is not rote knowledge from books, but a profound understanding gained through confronting and solving problems. Agonizing difficulties eventually become guiding lights.

If you crave courage, Heaven doesn't give you boldness; instead, it places you in perilous situations. Courage is the willingness to take the first step despite your fear. Those moments that force you to face challenges head-on enable you to face the future without fear.

If you crave love, Heaven doesn't offer warmth; instead, it leads you to those in need. Love is not about taking; it is about giving. In illuminating others, you warm yourself. When you learn to be tolerant and supportive, you understand that love is about becoming a person who radiates warmth.

Many times, we hold these gifts from heaven but fail to recognize their true nature. We complain that difficulties are too bitter or problems too complex. Please believe that you are not wrong; you simply haven't reached the point where you are meant to understand.

All of life's trials are tailor-made for us, and all encounters are perfectly timed. Living well, harboring kindness, and accepting fate are the foundations of life. Understanding trials and growing through experience is the cultivation of life.

Take your time; do not rush. Time will reveal all the answers. One day, you will suddenly realize—all the hardships were stepping stones, and all the trials were gifts. We will eventually live the life we want, fulfilling our destiny.
