Hey can I tell u a story. I wanna know you're opinion. Two friends were walking down a path and they came to an intersection. One friend wished to go left and the other right. The one going right promised to meet back a few years later and said they promised that no matter what they would be good friends. The one going left then burst into tears and said that it wouldn't happen like that and they were doomed if they went down that path. Feeling guilty the right agreed to go down the left road with them. Seeing them happy made them feel good but they knew in their heart that they shouldn't have come down with them on the left path. It was not where they needed to go. But they feared the others unhappiness. So they continued. After time there was a fork in the road and the right path lead to the destination on the previous right path. The other begged and pleaded and made the same claims. But they knew in their heart it was not right. So with tears in their eyes, they departed down the right path. As they got further down the path they saw the falseness of the lefts claims. It was nothing like they said. They became happier and seemed to thrive. But the knowledge of the lie. And the guilt the right suffered. They knew it was hard to leave ones you love. But that was ridiculous. But they also knew that their friend had good intentions at heart. Soon after, another traveller met on the right path in tears. It had seemed that the same thing had happened. But not only that. The left had told them not to go down the right path also. And the guilt consumed them. But the right helped them press on. For no one should love another or stay with another for a guilty conscience and fear of hurting others. Sometimes that is inevitable. Once they got to the end of the road they found a sweet little town where everyone was friendly and kind. After a few months they decided to go back to the intersection and meet those who went down the left path and see how they had faired. Once they reached it they saw them walking up the left path shouting insults and guilty claims trying to make them feel bad about their decisions. But they had learned. So they just smiled, wished them good day and returned to the town.
Now this is the story from the perspective of the person going down the left path. Two friends were walking down a path and they came to an intersection. One friend wished to go left and the other right. The one going right promised to meet back a few years later and said they promised that no matter what they would be good friends. The one going left fearing losing their friend proceeded to then burst into tears and lie saying that it wouldn't happen like that and they were doomed if they went down that path. After pleading and crying, the right finally consented. As they walked on, the left could sense deep down that the right was unwilling and uncomfortable. But they pushed that thought away with hopes that they would stay forever and never leave. For they cared about them very much. They came to another crossroad soon enough and the left, fearing again pleaded pitifully but the right to none of it though they did see the appearance of tears. As they walked down the path, the left wallowed in self pity and grew angry and depressed. As it happened, two more travellers came along. The same thing happened with them. One wished to go right and the other begged them to go left. But they would not consent. At this the left became angry and ran at the right traveller saying not to desert their friend. They remember how it felt and they didn't want anyone else to go through that. The traveler burst into tears but freed them self and ran down the path. Fearing the worst. The left ran to the now collapsed in a heap traveller who sat at the edge of the left road. The left went to him and agreed with all his venting. They fed off each other's negative energy and grew more angry and depressed by the day. But somehow they were able to conceal it with those whom they met. The path they walked was strewn with thorns but they did not heed them, I do not think they even were aware of anything as they were so concentrated on their melancholy demeanour. Then the appointed time came where they were to meet with there previous companions. A great longing settled inside them and they rushed to see them. One part of them hoping the best, the other the worst. As soon as they saw them however, their hearts filled with remorse and they shouted at them and tried all they could to make them feel bad about what they had done. After all this, their former companions smiled, wished them good health and life, and departed. The lefts, not knowing what to do, stood there shocked and are still there to this day.
