Lazy in a Busy World

Navigating the Busy World as a Proudly Lazy Person

By Ananthiyan MPublished 3 years ago 3 min read

Being a lazy person in today's fast-paced world can be quite the challenge. Everywhere you look, people are hustling, bustling and accomplishing more than you ever thought possible in a day. And then there's you, lying in bed, scrolling through social media, and wondering how you're going to survive.

It's not that you don't have the capability to be productive, it's just that you choose not to be. But being a lazy person in a busy world is like trying to run a marathon while carrying a couch on your back - it's not easy.

Take the morning commute for example. While the rest of the world is up and at 'em, you're still snuggled up in bed, trying to convince yourself that you can make it to work in just five more minutes of shut-eye. But then you hear that dreaded alarm and suddenly, the day's mission is clear - to make it through the day without doing anything that requires effort.

Going to the gym? Not a chance. That's a lot of work. You'd rather sit on the couch and watch reruns of "The Office" (for the hundredth time). Cleaning the house? No way. Dust bunnies are your new roommates. Cooking dinner? Ain't nobody got time for that. You'll just order in and pretend you don't feel guilty about it.

And let's not even get started on work. You try to be as low-key as possible, but sometimes, the boss wants you to do things. Things that require effort. Things that make you sweat. But you power through and find ways to get the work done without breaking a sweat. And in the end, you realize that being a lazy person in a busy world is all about finding shortcuts.

The key is to always be one step ahead. You pre-pack your lunch the night before so you don't have to cook in the morning. You wear comfortable shoes so you can sit through meetings without complaining about your feet. You bring a book to work so you can pretend to be busy when the boss comes around.

Being a lazy person in a busy world is all about being resourceful. You figure out how to do things with minimal effort. But the best part about being a lazy person in a busy world is that you get to enjoy life in a whole different way. You're not rushing from one thing to the next, you're not working yourself to death, and you're not sacrificing your sanity for the sake of being productive.

So next time you see a lazy person in a busy world, give them a nod of approval. They may not be as busy as everyone else, but they're still surviving - and that's an accomplishment in itself.

"Beinga lazy person in today's fast-paced world is no easy feat. Everywhere you look, people are rushing to get things done, meet deadlines, and achieve their goals. But you're not like everyone else. You're content with taking life slow and easy. After all, why waste all that energy when you can relax and let the world rush by?

But as much as you try to avoid the hustle and bustle, it always seems to find you. Take grocery shopping for instance. The last thing you want to do is spend hours wandering the aisles of a grocery store, picking out the perfect ingredients for dinner. But what's the alternative? Starving, of course. So, you reluctantly make your way to the store and before you know it, you're in the middle of a busy shopping center, dodging carts and dealing with long lines. It's enough to make you want to crawl back into bed and forget about the world.

And let's not forget about work. For a lazy person, work can be a real challenge. You prefer to coast through the day, avoiding any tasks that might require you to actually work. But, alas, the world doesn't work that way. You're expected to meet deadlines, attend meetings, and complete projects. And while it's hard to admit, sometimes you do have to put in a little bit of effort to get the job done.

But despite the challenges, you've learned to make the most of your lazy lifestyle. You've figured out how to survive and even thrive in a busy world. Whether it's by finding shortcuts or simply taking a different approach to things, you've learned to enjoy life on your own terms.

So, to all the lazy people out there, keep your heads held high. You may not be as productive as everyone
