Mum, I'm in Love with a Gaslighter
Names have been changed to protect identities of people in this story, but everything is raw and real. I am telling this story on behalf of a very close friend. They have given me permission to tell their story as my first article as they feel it is important to recognize someone may be a victim of gaslighting regardless of age or gender.

Signs a Shy Guy Likes You
When it comes to shy guys, it's actually pretty hard to tell if they like you or not, because they're just so quiet! They're not like most guys who are very outgoing, loud, and straightforward if they like someone. But I have to admit, shy guys are pretty cute. You can just tell how innocent and caring they are... not so much innocent (sometimes), but they certainly do care for those they love. Even though they don't say much, they hold so many thoughts and secrets that you would never believe. After talking to a shy guy for a while, you might leave thinking he's actually not that shy.

Six Years Ago
Six years ago, it really has been a while but yet it only seems like yesterday I was walking around the hallways of a new school starting out in grade ten. High school, a terrifying time for an introvert such as myself. I used to get high just to mask how scared and alone I actually felt. Plus the only friends I had when I started at this new school were stoners anyways. I fit in with them, since they were sort of outcasts like myself.

I Moved to a Different Country for Love
Long distance! Many people have/ have had a long distance relationship, including myself. I was in one for a little under a year. It didn't end though. I made a life decision based on it, revolving around it. It was the most important thing in my life.

Forgiveness In Relationships
Have you ever been in an argument before with your friend or partner? If so, raise your hand. From the looks of it, it seems like it’s nearly impossible to get into a relationship without getting into some form of conflict at one time or another. This makes me wonder why we choose to step into these kinds of relationships at all in the first place. While everyone may have differing opinions, I believe that life would be utterly boring without having other people around to share our experiences with.

Coming Out
The world that we live in isn't as inclusive as we think. We look at those in the LGBT community and we have so many different terms to know and it means that we can label almost every single person. You can not want sex and want a romantic relationship. You can want sex and nothing more. You can like the opposite sex, same sex, both, like those in the middle, like those who feel more boy some days and more girl other days, like those in transition, like all of the above. The LGBT terms are as flexible as a gymnast. The terms are not the problem; the problem is having to tell people.
