The Season of Selfishness
The twenty-second day of December brought an unusual warmth to the city of Wilmington, Delaware, at least for the winter season. Zevon Perell enjoyed the unseasonable climate. He had just reached the floor of his hedge fund, Perell & Power Capital. He stood at six feet four inches and possessed the skin color of embers. His business partner was Gerty Power, a five foot five inch lady with the skin color of sandstone and hair dyed the color of the waters of Aruba.

A Different Kind of Love
Before my happily ever after life that I am now living with my hubby of a decade/partner in crime of 17 years, I did an experiment. After being cheated on by a certain someone, I decided to flip the coin. I decided to treat guys like they treat chicks. I decided that I could pick and choose as many as I wanted and never commit. And I did. It was incredibly refreshing at first. It was a magic I didn't know I owned, and on top of that, I don't know how many of you reading this believe in the power of astrology, but I do and my Piscean powers were top notch for this (people under the Pisces sign tend to foresee things)! I would meet a guy and know exactly what would happen and how and how good or bad it would be. I still own this power of premonition. I use it seeking employment or even simply taking on new friendships and I am usually right about these things. Anyway, back to the point... I did this for a short period of time, but it was fun while it lasted. It was fun until it got creepy. It was fun until my inner feminist slapped my face and brought me back to the surface pointing out how horrible the aftermath felt. That is when I decided to date myself.

How To Spot a Cheater
When you're looking for a relationship usually you're looking for trust, honesty, and loyalty. Someone who you can spend your whole entire life with and go through anything with. However not everyone you will date will have this qualities. I soon found this out after dating a guy for a year and four months. Spoiler alert he was a good for nothing cheater. I pretty much wasted all my time and energy on him. I was a dumb girl for always going back to him too. See every time we would break up, he would have a new girl in less than 24 hours. Well those relationships wouldn’t last long and he would come crawling back talking about he “made a mistake” and he “misses me.” Well my stupid self would believe him cause I fell madly in love with and believed he would change. Boy I was wrong, he did the same so called”mistake” five times and kept promising that he wouldn’t do it again. The same red flags would coming up every time he was cheating.

Letter To the Man Who Can't Fix Me
November 29, 2017 You make me feel so small. You make me feel like I can't ever be fixed. You look at me like you want out. I know you do. You feel stuck. You don't want to stay, just like I knew you never would. Just like nobody ever does. I'm not worth the effort and the time and the fight. I ask you for too much. It's not fair. Why would you make sacrifices and change things about yourself just to be with me, when you have so many other options? I'm a lost cause. I love too hard and too fast and it's smothering you and I'm sorry that you can't handle it.

Why Love Causes Pain
Love is a force that can not be reckoned with. Bigger than anyone can even imagine. Love is inherently free and you cannot make someone love you. It cannot be turned on as a reward or off as a punishment. Of course, that doesn’t mean that we can use love as a way to be destructive or abusive to another living thing. Love is also inherently compassionate and empathetic. But it also brings about pain. Which I can imagine we have all felt at some point maybe during a breakup.

Chapter 1
I never spoke with him until the last day of the year. There was no reason to. He was older and it just never seemed right. I saw him all of the time around town and he would catch me off guard with his eyes, those beautiful brown eyes. Something about his eyes were mysterious that I wanted to solve. It was a small wish that I could not act upon.
