Is Long Distance Worth It?
A long distance relationship was not something I ever thought I would be in when I was 17 years old. Prior to this relationship, I have been single since birth. Obviously, I always wanted to be in a relationship and most people I've talked to have said that dating when you are 18 is quite late, as many start dating at the age of 12. I think that’s way too young.

The Bad Boys
There is something to be said for the bad boys. Ladies, you know what I’m talking about, and if you don’t, go find one. These guys are brooding and dangerous. They aren’t the star quarterback, but probably his best friend. The underdog. The one who makes the entire class laugh but nobody takes serious. They are the ones who show you passion and heartache. They make you take risks and make you see things the nice boys won’t. They can either make you or break you. Mine broke me.

Saying Goodbye
I want to start by saying that you’re special to me. You’re one of the only people who I wouldn’t mind losing sleep over, one of the only people who I can never get tired of talking to, who crosses my mind constantly throughout the day, so much so that I truly believe you're burned into it. You’re the only one who can make me smile without trying and every action of yours can change my day entirely. I can’t explain just how much you mean to me, you’re the only one I’m afraid of losing, and even entertaining that thought brings me to tears.

The Person I'd Trust My Life With Is...
The person I would trust with my life is someone who would trust me with his. Trust is a very sensitive matter. It is something intangible yet fragile. It is something that requires strength yet is often given to feeble hands. Its gentleness can often be a reason for someone to put his defenses down, because how can something so gentle and fragile ever cause you harm? Building Healthy Relationships (Pt. 2)

Jealousy is natural. Under the right circumstances, it emerges. Usually, we can deal with it. We contemplate and rationalize and realize that either immaturity, selfishness, or insecurity is at play. Occasionally, the jealousy becomes uncontrollable and grows into a monster.

The Makeup (Chapter 3 - By the Cover)
Rose For the rest of the day, I avoided Nathan, darting from lesson to lesson. After the first incident, Nathan didn't show up outside of anymore of my classrooms, but just in case, I decided against riding the bus. Mum, as expected, was late, having been staying to discuss the terms of the promotion in more depth with Keith. I didn't mind really.

The Kiss (Chapter 2 - By the Cover)
Nathan I blinked, opening my eyes to the bright sunlight streaming through the bay window into the lounge. I sat up on the sofa, finding Rose lying next to me, still asleep despite the bright morning light. I never noticed how beautiful she was. Sleeping next to me, she looked so peaceful, her dark hair cascading loosely over her shoulders. It must have escaped during the night. I spied the green elastic she always kept it in lying on the ground, unconsciously discarded. I liked it better that way, a few wisps playing wildly over her milky, pale skin.
