Looking Through My Eyes
I have always said that I wouldn't let people get too close. I have always promised myself that, "No, this person isn't right...I won't let them in." Then, what do I do? I open up. I let that person in. I let that person see more than just my mask. I get vulnerable. I let my guard down.

A Wedding Speech to Claudia & Richard
Richard and Claudia are a couple I met back in July in New York. They were married in a civil service a year or so ago. But both families felt left out of something very special. So they decided to have a wedding where everyone can attend. I was invited to come since the best man is his own brother and I have been with his brother for five years.

Il Vigneto
Viola hadn’t slept well the night before, she had spent most of the night working through the Mt. Everest of work for the new recruits. She had been working so hard that she didn’t even make it home. She lifted her head for the desk, eyes still closed and a wet patch on her cheek. She felt as though there was a massive weight on her head which prevented her from raising her head too high. She glanced at the clock perched on the wall to see it was reading five in the morning. “Oh damnit,” she sighed “I suppose I better hurry home and get washed up before the next shift begins.”

Damn. He was perfect.
Ladies, something we may never know the answer to is, why do we end up in these situations? Is it that we are too forgiving? Too inviting? Too nice? Too smart? Beautiful? Why do we have to portray ourselves as mean and bitter as the result of befriending a man that we thought had potential to be our 'best friend.' Someone whom we figured was worthy of that vested time, but ended up lying to us? How did we get here? Why do we have to apply that ever so cliché, "Accept what you cannot change" hooplah or the "Girl, just forget about him and move, on" bullshit. As if it's really that easy. Truth is, it's never that easy after you've spent time getting to know someone. You let them into some of the most deepest and darkest moments of you life, only to find out you're sharing them with someone else. Yeah. That. At some point, all of us have been in this situation and it was either hard to get out of it, harder to let go, or just easier to stay involved. Each woman chose one of those options, and it wasn't easy.

The Boy Who Broke My Best Friend's Heart
I hate to get mad at you, I really do, but I have some things I need to say. Some things that you might not like to hear, and some things that she might not want me to voice to you. Either way, I am writing this letter to you, the boy who broke my best friend's heart.

Why the Boy That Broke You Saved You
We have all had someone who has let us down so many times and in so many ways to the point where we feel broken or that something is wrong with us. We allow ourselves to go into such a dark place where we begin to place blame ourselves as to why something did not work out, when in reality that is most often not the case. I am one of those people.
