There Was a Girl
Am I a good person or am I faking really well? This is something I ask myself everyday. A lot has happened this summer and I don't know where to start. I lost the one person I knew I could trust with anything and everything. My best friend, my lover and the one who once told me that I was a good person. She was elegant and sophisticated and more than I could have ever asked for. Let's just say my 18-year-old body didn't quite know how to handle it all. This women, this unbreakable, beautifully complicated, scarlet redhead with the perfect hint of a British accent of a women, trusted me. Let's break down how I messed it all up.

6 Types of People You Will See on Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day: The time of year when the universe celebrates the obvious timely successes of Purdys, Hallmark, and Kleenex. In the advanced world of social media, it is this such once-a-year date that V-Day stomps into our lives with its Godzilla-sized foot, putting its scaly pressure on the boyfriends of the world to get their sh*t together without the help of Netflix-and-Procrastination, while the girlfriends of the world are pushed to post their cheesiest, most red-heart-filled photos showing just how in love they are with their masculine counterparts. Now, we all know how difficult it can be to navigate the dangerous waters of Valentine's Day. So, to make everyone's lives just a bit easier and perhaps also to prepare you for what's in store this chocolate-decorated season, I've compiled an organized list of creatures you might come across this V-Day for you to keep an eye on. Bonus points if you can spot one of each this 14th of Feb.

What Not to Ask People Who Are Polyamorous. Top Story - February 2018.
Hi, I'm Ayshen and I am in a polyamorous relationship with my girlfriend and boyfriend. Honestly, we are lucky to live in a small city that is completely open to alternative relationships and accepting of all people, so coming out on social media and to friends and family wasn't too daunting.

In Loving Memory
(The names in this story have been changed for personal reasons.) It was a hot, Southern California summer day, I was waiting with some of my friends to go to to summer camp with some friends from my local church. Surprised, I see a good friend of mine and her husband at my church's book store (she didn't attend that church so seeing her there was out of the ordinary). "Hey, what are you doing here?" I said, "We're just here to buy a couple of books we've been meaning to read, what about you?" I let them know I was on my way to camp and that I'll be back by the next "family night" with all of our friends at their house (we were a tight-knit group). "I guess I'll see you Thursday then." Those were the last words I said to her.

'Call Me by Your Name'
A lot of things have changed in me since reading this book, and furthermore, watching this film. The way I look at love, the way I understand my sexuality, and more importantly, I've felt emotions I haven't felt in years. I'd like to talk about my favourite part of the novel and what I understand from it. This book is incredible, and I'm so happy that it's finally getting the recognition it deserves. The film, although different, had me in absolute tears, too.

How to Write a Romantic Story
It all starts out with a good character. When I say that, I don’t mean a morally good character. Bad people tend to be crowdpleasers as long as there is a tragic story to why they went bad, without a backstory as such the character is just an mean person, which is alright as long as, in the end, their love interest changes that part of them. The bad character has to get morals and realize that they should be good because, suddenly, it all makes sense—the only thing in their life missing was LOVE.

What Are You Giving Your Sweetheart for Valentine’s Day?
Don't stress over a Valentine's gift. Valentine's gift giving can be quite tricky especially since it follows Christmas. But let me make this task easy for you. I’ve lived thru many Valentine's Days, and I’ve found the answer. The first thing to do is, don’t stress. It is not the end of the world if you do not have the perfect idea or even receive the perfect gift from your sweetheart. Relax and release the pressure you might be feeling, that is, unless you are in the doghouse.

Through the Rabbit Hole
Sometimes I feel the compulsion of the world. It is not grey. It has its shades. However, I am not talking about 50 Shades of Grey, so do not get too excited. The life around me is such at times…unstable, unbelievable. Then, when the lack of colour and sense overtakes me, all the back drawers of my mind open up and my imagination starts to do with this world whatever it wishes. Without asking me. How unpalatable on its part, you will say. And you will not be wrong. It is arrogant, unruly, inconspicuous, and quite annoying. It effortlessly makes me feel uncomfortable with its explosions of fantasies emerging before my eyes. It pulls a shy and ironically sad smile between my two cheeks and just makes me feel embarrassed, but it's mine...I cannot blame it. I cannot because sometimes it is my imagination that is all I have; all that manages to save me from this greyness.

Denial
If someone says they love you, why is it so hard for them to be with you?? They move on without any doubt, you feel the hurt so deep. This is the person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with, and he/she was the first person you felt actual love with? You dodged every person for them, because you figured that they deserved all of you, now that you think back it was hard for that person to come directly to you. You began to try to piece together puzzle to figure out went wrong, soon enough you conclude that it was your fault, and that everything you have every done didn’t make them stay. You wonder if you weren’t beautiful enough or even handsome enough for that person.
