Kalina Hyde
When I first met Kalina, I hadn't said a word to her and I was already terrified. Mostly because on a scale of one to ten she's like a twenty five and I'm a negative six. She was head guard and had been working at Soak Ya since it opened; so, that made her a million times more important than I'd ever be. And to make matters worse, I was a new guard. (And now that I'm an old guard I understand the rep that comes with the term new guard. Trust me...it's not all that great)

Worst Date Ever!
As a child, I thought that when I grew up, I would meet the man of my dreams. Fall madly in love, get married, and settle down. With the white picket fence nonsense. However, I think we all know that fairy tales do not exist or so I quickly discovered after turning 18. Now I’m 28 and still trying to find mister right. Guess it’s safe to say that my taste in men has room for improvement.

Izzy Barnes
Wild is my favorite word. It encompasses a senseless, lawless freedom that I craved long before I could even breathe. Wild is the waves of the ocean, wild is the stars scattered across an endless night sky. Wild is the primal nature that grows within every human. Wild is insatiable, wild is untamable. Wild is, and will forever be, the greatest gift the world has ever seen.

The End of an Era
This archive of letters once meant everything to me. Everyday I rushed to the mailbox hoping to find one of these babies waiting for me. Of course, these in this photo only span back to the last eight or so years. The archive would have been much larger except over the last 22 years and moving around as much as I had. I ended up losing some. These letters were from my once true love, Kevin.

Letter to My Ex
To my ex: The times that I think about you get less and less. I am 99.9 percent over you. The .1 percent I don't think will ever go away. I will always have love for you. But I am not in love with you. I also don't care for you the way I did anymore. It still amazes me that someone who was such a big part of your life just becomes a face you know in the crowd and distant memories. That you go from talking every second of every day before you even got together, to not talking at all.

10 Myths About Dating an Asian Guy: Debunked
I should probably start this by prefacing that there are many stereotypes about Asian guys and girls as a whole that are both viable and outlandish, all at the same time. There are also loads of other articles out there about how the cultural upbringing of Asian men might make them less attractive to women in general—even Asian women. Sure, Asian men are generally stereotyped as less masculine, portrayed to show more emotions, and be a bit gentler than the men of other cultures, while Asian women are generally stereotyped to be quiet, exotic, and cute. But Asians are by far not a "weak" culture...so what's the real deal with these stereotypes?!
