The "A" in LGBTQA
June was declared as Pride Month in the United States (and other countries) after a Supreme Court ruling on June 26th, 2015 that fully legalized same-sex marriage across America. A beautiful moment for all members of the LGBT+ community, and one that should rightfully be celebrated as a win for civil rights. But there's one aspect of the community that you don't hear about very often, or see represented in the media or even in some ally groups, Asexuals.

My So-Called Relationship
At some time, we have probably seen the memes circulating the internet about how "Facebook ruined my relationship," or "If you want to stay in a relationship, don't use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram..." But, why are these memes so popular? Could it be with the increase of social media platforms, texting, and increased internet usage overall, there has been an increase in cheating as well?

Homeless
At this day and age I never thought this would become my life. Nobody in childhood says, "I want to be homeless when I grow up." The desires are big and within reach in the eyes of children. They want to be a fireman, doctor, princess or superhero, nobody wants to be homeless and alone.

Reasons Why Gold Diggers Are Bad for Relationships
Gold Diggers are everywhere these days. The dictionary defines a Gold Digger as a woman “who becomes or tries to become romantically involved with a rich man in order to get money and gifts from him.” Um, excuse me? Maybe the dictionary hasn’t been updated in a few years because male Gold Diggers are just as common these days. (Resist the urge to vomit, please.) So I turned to the Urban Dictionary, which says a Gold Digger is “a person who goes out with you fo’ yo’ money.” This is verbatim people. But in all seriousness, this insanity just needs to end. And here’s how.

Desireeeeee
In my life, I have noticed that desire is very prevalent, especially in being a junior in high school where everyone seems to be having sex. But desire is so odd to me. It can make you want and go for somebody that is totally bad for you and overlook the person that is hopelessly in love with you. Or, as in love you can be in high school, is love in high school really even love... well that's a topic for another post.

Black Ice
The snow crunched under Olivia’s feet like ice being ground in a blender, sharp and loud. It was the melody of her Monday in the cold Nebraskan winter. A blizzard passed through just a week prior, painting the world around her in a scene out of a Hallmark snow globe. It was the type of weather that Olivia would rather see than experience. The cold chilled her bones and made her want to hide under the cheap twin bedding she had bought from Walmart. Yet there she was, trudging her way through the snow to get her mail on the other side of campus.

The INFJ-INTJ Romance {Part 1}
As an INFJ, I longed for a romance of depth and purpose: for a man to understand who I was deep inside, beyond the friendly smile I put on for anyone I encountered. INFJ's are deeply internalized individuals filled with intrinsic joy and melancholy at the same time.

Is Power Play in a Relationship Worth It?
Power is defined as the ability or right to control people or things. We’ve all heard the saying "he wears the pants" to refer to a man who basically holds all the "power" in a relationship. But I always say…the best relationships are the ones where no one is wearing pants. But all kidding aside, to maintain a healthy relationship there must be a delicate balance of power. Each party involved should feel the freedom to truly be themselves and that their opinions and concerns matter. Everyone has something that they are good at, and the best partnerships work together as a team, acknowledging each other's strengths and weaknesses. So you want to have a balanced relationship? I’ve got a few ideas on how you might get there…

My Best Friend Left Me
I don't know if this will even go through. You blocked me from messaging you, I reactivated my old profile so that I could send this to you. I know you don't want to hear from me, so maybe you'll get this, maybe you won't. I don't really know, but I'm going to try anyway. Every other time I've thought about what I've wanted to say, but this is half thought and half free-write. My emotions are already getting the best of me.
