Abusive Relationships in Teens
If you want to hear the truth, dating violence in teens seems to happen more often than you think. Both adults and teens do not believe how prevalent emotional, verbal, physical, and sexual abuse is throughout adolescent years. According to the NJCEDV, one in three teenagers experience any form of abuse from their romantic partner, and 33 percent of teenagers who were in a violent relationship did not tell anybody about this. Violence in romantic relationships between teenagers across the world has been in the shadow; breaking the cycle is the key to end such an epidemic.

Attraction, Awkwardness, and One Too Many Sangrias
I suffer from a condition called "Misplaced Flirtation" (Yes I came up with this myself, It's hella made up). This basically means that I have zero problems talking to guys...when I'm not attracted to them. Because of this, I have been in many a situation where my general friendliness towards guys was taken as "she wants to date me." (To any guys reading this...you know who you are). Because of this unfortunate condition, it means that I actually can't function like a normal human being when I'm around guys that I really do like. Chances are if you are a guy, and I think you are oh so cute...I will do one of 3 things: 1. Say nothing to you and come off as stand-offish. 2. I'll get really tongue-tied and awkward, saying something that may or may not sound like the English language. 2. Finally, I may try to hide from you via behind a laptop, my friends, or the nearest piece of food, typically sushi.

Memoirs of a Chronic Third Wheel - Part 1
*Semi-autobiographical, thus, names have been changed for privacy.* Not to sound cliché, but it seems like my whole life has been leading up to this point where I have become the third wheel in every possible relationship. I’m also only 21 and while that may seem young for this type of story, I think that it’s normal to have had at least one relationship by the time you’re of drinking age. I’m almost 22 in fact, and I have never had a significant other.

Life After Love: Part 9
SERENA "I know what you're trying to do and it's not going to work." Daniel's blatant comment as I placed the dishes in the dishwasher only made me roll my eyes. I didn't see anything wrong with inviting our friends over for dinner. Kyle and I still talked. And apparently, Jesse wasn't going anywhere. I saw no harm in introducing them to each other. And if it turned out they liked each other and happened to move to Alaska, I wouldn't mind that either.

Bottle
Just as I finish writing in my journal the last piece of my thoughts, I close it and lie in bed. Do I feel better? Do I genuinely feel happier? The scary answer is "no". Writing my thoughts doesn't make me feel better, it just makes me feel more alone. Every passing day feels worse and worse because it's just a reminder of no matter how many feelings I attempt to process or go through; I will go through the motions alone.

My Fairytale
I never thought a once upon a time would ever happen to me, but as a little girl I was anything but hopeful. Being lucky enough to live near Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach, I would wake up, look out the window and see the most incredible property. At age 4, all I knew was that that place has to have the prettiest view in the entire world! By age 10, I learned the name of the dreamy property, Twin Points.
