Lady In A Glass Dress

It’s 7:45 AM in the morning, Talia wakes up, from stretching in yawning she looks her new city view. Rubs her face, gets out of her bed, takes a shower to get ready for her big day. She takes a deep breath, looking in the mirror, grabbing her keys. Heading out the big day of her life.

Talia: Alright Tal, you got this!!! (Sitting inside her car, putting the keys into her ignition) It’s time to move forward..

Talia is few minutes away from her job, about to pull into the parking lot, she gets a call from her Grandma, Bonnie

Talia: Hey, Grandma B

Grandma Bonnie: Hey honey, how’s Cali treating you?

Talia: So far, so good (putting her car in park, and getting out of the car) the time change sucks, but I will have to get used to it.

Grandma Bonnie: well, that’s good to hear that you finally, got out of the bed..

Talia: Grandma... seriously??

Grandma Bonnie: Did you enjoy my gift?

Talia: Nope, it went right into the garbage..(on the phone while parking her car, in the garage)

Grandma Bonnie: now why would you do that for???

Talia: I don’t need it, thank you very much..

Grandma Bonnie: honey, there’s nothing wrong with “juicing your fix”

Talia: oh my god!!! Grandma, I gotta go ( she hangs up her phone) I can’t believe she said that. ( Grabs her purse, getting out of the car) new job, new life... here I come..

Talia crosses the street to get to the Building, the Dalton Enterprise building. Walks thru the door, looks around and takes an breather.. then heads towards the receptionist..

Receptionist: (looks up and smiling at you) Good morning

Talia: Hi (nervously)

Receptionist: welcome to Dalton Enterprise, what can I help you with today?

Talia: I’m Talia Kane, the new hire for the administrative assistant position.

Receptionist: Okay, well welcome aboard

Talia: thank you

Receptionist: Go ahead and take the elevator to the 10th floor, when you get off make a right, and go straight down towards the office, the recruiter will be there waiting for you.

Talia: Great, thanks (walking towards the elevator)

Receptionist: Good luck, I heard that I manager can be tough..

Talia: I grew up, in a military family.. I can handle it.. Thank you (walking inside the elevator)

Talia presses the button, heading up to the 10th floor, and gets off. Her phone vibrates, she pulls it out of her pocket.. Starts to smile, when she sees a text from sister Leah

Leah: Hey sis!!! Hope all is well with you, on ur first day, knock em dead!!! Lol!! You got this... I love you.

I text her back and said “ thank you, I will hit you up later, kiss BJ for me” and I put my phone back in my purse, heading to the recruiter’s office.. Talia knocks on the door.

Talia: Hello? Miss

She looks up from her paperwork and notice you and smiles

Ms. Jane: Hi, you must be Talia. (She gets up from her desk and comes around from with her hand out) It’s nice to meet you..

Talia: (shaking her hand) thank you.. and thanks for giving me this opportunity..

Ms.Jane: no problem, I see the potential from plus, you have a strong work ethic background as well. (Straightens up her desk.) Ready for me to show you around the office?

Talia: Sure, I’m ready when you are..

They both leave her office, and she gives Talia the tour, they pass by a group of people in a meeting.. A tall handsome gentleman looks at Talia, as he leads on with his meeting, Talia gently bumps into Ms. Jane immediately startled.

Ms. Jane: Are you okay?

Talia: Yes I’m okay, sorry about that..

Ms. Jane: no problem..(she smiles) so this is where you will be, just outside of Roman’s office.

Talia: I’m sorry, umm who’s Roman?

Ms. Jane: oh the man who we just pass by while he was in a meeting, you will meet him later.. also he will be getting you on board as well.

Talia cheeks turns red

Talia: oh okay

Ms. Jane: well get settled in.. and if you need anything, I’m a phone call away. Just press #6, and I will call.. and you will get the hang of that also ( suddenly the phone rings, she picks it up) Hello? Ah yes!! She’s right here. Do you want me to send her ur way? Okay, thank you ( she hangs up) He will see you now

Talia: oh okay, thank you

Talia gets up and heading towards Roman’s office.. she knocks on the door, then let herself in
