In the latest episode of "The Kardashians", Kim Kardashian and Malika Haqq urge Khloé Kardashian to consider therapy, but Khloé insists she’s “not struggling.”

Kim, returning to therapy herself, suggests Khloé join her on the journey. The topic resurfaces during Khloé’s lunch with her friend Malika Haqq, who brings up Khloé’s upcoming 40th birthday.

“We have to celebrate your birthday in a big way,” Malika suggests. “How about an Eat Pray Love-style celebration?” referencing Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir.

“No,” Khloé quickly dismisses, calling the idea a “disaster.”

Malika counters, “It’s indirect therapy, the kind you might actually enjoy.”

“Do you think I need therapy?” Khloé asks.

“A hundred percent,” Malika replies.

Shocked, Khloé shares her earlier conversation with Kim.

“You should listen to your sister,” Malika advises.

“I’ve done therapy,” Khloé says, explaining she’s seen “three or four different therapists” without finding the right fit. She had sought therapy before welcoming her second child, son Tatum, via surrogate in August 2022. She shares Tatum and daughter True, 8, with ex Tristan Thompson.

Khloé reveals her frustration with therapy: “I’ve never connected. I’d share my life story, my darkest thoughts, and the therapist would just say, ‘Okay.’ I never got any guidance.”

“Then she’s not the right therapist for you,” Malika responds.

Khloé explains, “Every therapist I’ve seen has been like that.”

In her confessional, Khloé recalls, “One therapist told me I didn’t need therapy because I process things matter-of-factly. It was a strange encounter.”

Reflecting on her ex-husband Lamar Odom’s cheating and drug scandal, Khloé says, “I found him in a drug den, and my therapist asked, ‘Do you get upset?’ Because I was calm, she told me, ‘I don’t think you need me.’”

“I thought, ‘Is she firing me?’” Khloé muses. “I think I got broken up with by a therapist.”

Malika emphasizes, “You’ve gone through several traumatic events and need someone to help you find your exit. You don’t need someone to tell you how to be Khloé, but how to see your way out.”

The Quran - Chapter Al-Mumtahanah: 09

Allah only forbids you from befriending those who have fought you for ˹your˺ faith, driven you out of your homes, or supported ˹others˺ in doing so. And whoever takes them as friends, then it is they who are the ˹true˺ wrongdoers.
