Taking to social media, Jemima Osunde has opened up about the constant stomach pains she has been battling, and also revealed that she has been fighting for her life for the past 3 years. She said:

JEMIMA OSUNDE: God please help me heal my stomach this year 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I’m begging youuu

This stomach is just doing whatever it likes 🤦🏾‍♀️

I’ve never regretted anything the way I regret taking that job and going with them to Ibadan to shoot under their care.. Got h pylori from set food and the aftermath GERD has left me fighting for my life the last 3 years.

The past month has really been something. *sigh

My own stomach is my greatest op.

Actually, my entire GIT.

SMH.

What EXACTLY Is Wrong With Her?

According to Jemima, she got H. pylori from set food, which then led to GERD. Now, if you’re wondering what all that means, let me break it down for you.

H. pylori, short for Helicobacter pylori, is a type of bacteria that can infect your stomach. It’s often linked to contaminated food or water and can cause serious issues like stomach ulcers, chronic inflammation, and, as Jemima mentioned, ongoing stomach pain. Basically, it’s a nightmare for anyone’s digestive system.

As for GERD, that’s gastroesophageal reflux disease, which is a fancy way of saying chronic acid reflux. It happens when stomach acid keeps flowing back up into the esophagus, causing discomfort, heartburn, and even damage over time. Imagine battling both of these conditions for three whole years—that’s the level of pain and frustration Jemima has been dealing with.

I wish Jemima speedy recovery and join my faith with hers in hoping that her stomach will be healed this year.
