In this Corona-19 Pandemic, A Butterfly comes to talk to me in silence

Not long ago, I searched on YouTube to see if there was a 40’s bachelor like me. However, a video of a thumbnail that looks prominently ugly and sloppy has been uploaded under the name of "A bachelor living alone". I clicked on the video without any hesitation, in other words with a click rate of 100%. The content of the video was nothing. It was a video that a man went shopping alone and sat alone in a messy room, boiled ramen, and checked the receipts one by one as if there was really anything to do. In addition to the video, I watched several episodes in a row and felt like I was feeling this channel is good to subscribe for my single life.

His number of subscribers was over 10,000 people. Compared to that, my channel, Salty Poet, is a minor channel with only thirty subscribers now for over a year. But last month, around the end of April 2020, someone visited my Tistory Blog (Text 4 Soul) – nacl.tistory.com and started to show interest on my posts by commenting. Few people have commented for nearly 4 years since I started blogging, and it was nice to see someone commenting like this.

The ID of the comment was difficult to distinguish gender, and I didn't know whether it was a man or a woman. For the first time, I exchanged comments with the owner of the comment, person to person. The owner of the comment invited me to his or her blog to play. I entered his or her blog address in the address bar, and pressed Enter. It was an ordinary blog in South Korea. There were pictures of flowers with peppers and cucumbers at the apartment balcony, and there was briefly written, “I am going to cook a side dish with the cucumber today.”

25 days after that, we've been an online couple by exchanging text, voice, pictures and videos every day. She lives in Seoul and I live in Nashville, USA. First, I have to go to Korea and see her, but with Corona-19, we become Romeo and Juliet waiting for a vaccine.

In 47 years of my solo life, a butterfly came to my blog garden and gave a talk to me. We've had so many conversations and we've become quite intimate as we have met in person. This digital civilization made it possible to reach a considerable level of intimacy even with uncontacted situation.

Is the old bachelor still boiling ramen alone and breaking through the meaningless receipts? In fact, she knew the YouTuber, old bachelor living alone. So she even wrote a blog post about the old bachelor. Before she knew me, she seemed to be interested in the old bachelor. But she said she was hesitant because he wasn't her style.

At the same period, I posted a writing on my blog about the old bachelor living alone. By the way she found my post, that is “why my channel won't increase the number of subscribers” during her web searching. And she clicked in. At first, she came in with a light mind, and after reading all the hundreds of articles on my blog, she fell in love with my images from the blog posts.

In this Corona-19 situation, I was looking for someone, and I was thinking I would like to have a girlfriend who can send and receive pen pals staying home at least. Whether such a desperate desire touched the sky, we became online couple by chance during a coincidence. Even though my channel hasn't been moved up over 30 subscribers, since I found my first love late by the reputation of the pure and pitiful old bachelor living alone with over 10,000 subscribers, I would like to sincerely thanks to him. Because she had been interested in the old bachelor before she knew me, I'm sure that soon he will find a real lover.

Love is to get actively. Love doesn't fall from the sky, so when you have a chance, don’t miss your love. Moreover, you should make a chance to meet your love. I hope you don’t miss your love in this Corona-19 situation.
