Ways to Deal with Jealousy:

1. Try to find the root of your jealousy

A lot of times, our jealousy is a result of a lack of trust in a relationship. This feeling usually arises from past experiences or from what you have been told by others about your significant other. If these feelings do not go away, you may want to re-evaluate your relationship.

2. Try communicating with your significant other about your feelings

If you think that they are doing something that is causing jealousy, talk to them about it in a calm and open way. They might not even be aware of their actions and just speaking with them could clear up any issues.

3. There are some simple things that you can do to prevent yourself from becoming jealous

For example, try keeping your life as active as they are keeping theirs. This means staying busy with homework, projects, interests, etc. Another thing that could work is trying messaging them less during the day. If you don't hear from them as often, you might be a little less jealous.

4. Stay positive!

If you are thinking about all of the negative things that could happen with your relationship or if you let yourself get carried away with your imagination, you might end up making a mountain out of a mole hill. Try to block those negative thoughts out and focus on those things that you love about your significant other instead.

5. Remember, nothing is perfect!

If you try to compare your relationship to the relationships your friends have or to what you see on TV or in movies, then you are going to end up being a lot more jealous than necessary. Keep things in perspective and remember that not everything is going to be exactly the way you want it to be.

6. Sometimes, being too jealous can push people away

If this starts happening, then you might need to take a step back and re-evaluate what is causing all of your negative feelings. Avoiding them or neglecting them isn't good either because usually, people do not like to be ignored.

7. Finally, try to remember that it's easy to get jealous in a relationship

This is because we care about them and we only want the best for them. Jealousy is very common and it can't always be prevented or minimized. But knowing how to deal with jealousy when it does come up can definitely help your relationship grow stronger.

Jealousy can drive people to act foolishly, making things bad for themselves. Make sure that you are not acting on your jealousy and only think with the right mindset. To eliminate jealousy, we first need to work on building our self-confidence. By working on our confidence, and seeing the bigger picture, we can allow ourselves to reach full potential.
