Aren't you always happy with yourself? You know you can do more with your life, but you don't know where to start and what the first steps should be?

Our personal development does not end with graduation, the next job, or our first child. Personal development is not just a stage in our lives, it means constant evolution and should never be "paused".

Here are 6 simple but essential tips that will help you get started on the path of personal evolution: learn to become independent, experiment, take risks and give up activities that consume too much time.

Start with small steps

If you have decided to change your life and become a new, strong, and independent woman, the first thing you need to realize is that change will not come overnight. It's up to you to go in the right direction and you will be more successful if you set close targets and take small but safe steps.

An example: you have been saying for a long time that you want to go to the gym, but you have not been able to do that so far. The first thing you need to do is put on your running shoes and cross the threshold of the gym. You may not last more than half an hour in the first workout, but the beginning has been made.

2. Learn new things

No one is born learned. However, one of the most common mistakes that many people make is to think they are good at anything. Or that they don't have to learn anything once they're done with school.

Lifelong learning is, however, one of the engines of personal development, so do not miss any opportunity to improve your knowledge.

Go to courses, look for books online, subscribe to publications in the fields that interest you. For example, gutenberg.org has thousands of free books, while openculture.com also offers free classes.

3. Affirm your independence

Lifelong learning will increase your knowledge and help you grow, but it also has an effect that many women overlook: it helps you regain your independence. You will no longer need advice and confirmation, or other people to help you do various things around the house.

The first step is to learn to use all the equipment and all the gadgets you have at your disposal.

4. Spend less time on social media

On average, a person spends about 40 minutes a day (teens even reach 9 hours a day, according to a study published by Common Sense Media) using one or more social networks. socialization and at the top are Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Youtube.

Their effect on our mood is not always beneficial: we relate to what we see in others, only that almost everyone presents their life in an exaggeratedly favorable way. The best thing you can do is spend less time on social networks and not compare yourself with others.

5. Make time for your passions

If you feel that your days are divided only between work and home, it's time to make some changes in the way you organize your free time. A new movie or series is not enough to diversify your activities and grow. Try to do new, productive things, things that you are passionate about.

Whether it's photography, handmade accessories, painting or even writing love stories, make time for them on the weekend or in the evening. In time, you will notice their beneficial effect on you and you will be more fulfilled.

6. Accept the opportunities offered

The Internet has fundamentally changed the way we relate to society and the world around us. Until recently, information was locked in libraries, in books you didn't even know existed or should be read, or in the minds of specialists.

Nowadays, however, it is becoming easier to find out new things, to learn new skills, or just to show off your hidden talents. The Internet helps you to bring them to the surface and to develop in directions you would not have thought of before, so take advantage of every opportunity offered to you.

Whether it's new courses or new passions, don't shy away from them. They will help you become, in time, your best option.
