INI EDO

This year, Ini Edo's hit Netflix show, Shanty Town, bagged a whooping TEN nominations for the Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards. Reacting to the news, Ini Edo took to her social media to write saying:

Shanty Town!!!

10 Nominations!!!

Phew!..

Did I see the nominations coming?? Yes..

I just didn't know it will come in such. grand style...

Shout out to the entire cast and crew of one of the biggest movie out from Africa.. SHANTY TOWN.. God is indeed faithful..

My amazingly supportive cast members

My unwavering Audience who took the gospel of the Shanty far and near..

Now the time has come to bring home the Shanty awards..

BIMBO ADEMOYE

This year actress Bimbo Ademoye bagged three nominations for three completely different projects (Selina, Teropi Secxxion, and Anikulapo). Taking to social media to celebrate the nominations, Bimbo Ademoye said:

I’ve been a little under the weather . Cape Town cold no be here. So I went to bed early last night . Woke up this morning with my phone on fire . 🤣🤣😂. Thank you @africamagic for the nomination.

Most importantly. Thank you to every single one of you for all the love you have bombarded me with . Most of you would say “if bimbo no Dey d feem I no Dey watch “ . Like what have I done to deserve you. What exactly ?

Iya barakat got a nomination? Same iya barakat that started as a joke ?. But because you guys finished the show with love , it has now been nominated for an award show. I’m still in awe . Thank you so much guys. I love you dearly .

TOBI BAKRE

Big Brother star turned bonafide action star, Tobi Bakre, also bagged an AMVCA nomination this year for 'Best Actor in a Drama' for his performance in the blockbuster movie, Brotherhood. Taking to social media to talk about the nomination, Tobi Bakre said:

It's been quite a journey over the past 5 years!!!

TOYIN ABRAHAM

This year, actress Toyin Abraham didn't get any personal nomination, but her movie, Ijakumo, which she produced got THREE nominations. Taking to social media, Toyin wrote saying:

This is the first time a movie produced by me, my own movie, will be nominated for the AMVCA award and we got 3 nominations!!!

I just want to say that whatever you do just keep working hard. It will surely pay off. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

FUNKE AKINDELE

Powerhouse filmmaker, Funke Akindele, is also full of celebration as her movie, Battle on Buka Street (which is such a phenomenal movie btw), bagged TEN nominations at the AMVCAs this year. Taking to social media, Funke wrote saying:
