How I Feel about Wizkid and Davido Beef - Shizzi

Popular Nigerian music Shizzi who has produced some of Nigeria's biggest songs including "Peru", "Skelewu" by Davido, and "Love My Baby" by Wizkid, is talking about the ongoing beef between the latter two musicians, Wizkid and Davido.

As a person who has worked with both, Shizzi was asked how he feels about the beef between both men, and well, Shizzi had quite a lot to say about it. Here's what Shizzi said.

Speaking about the beef between Wizkid and Davido, Shizzi said:

SHIZZI: If I'm being honest, it's a very sensitive topic to discuss. But at the end of the day you know, because I know these two guys and I know them very well, I've been able to get close to both of them at one point and I'm still close. I'm not as close to Wizkid anymore. Of course David is like my brother and um, I'm not going to say that I'm choosing any side right now.

I didn't fall out with Wiz, like he's my guy but we're not just as close as you know me and David are. But I would say that the side I'm on is on the peace side mehn. You know like I'm the only one that I feel like has been able to do hits for these two guys. The game, there's no other person that's been able to do it.

And with that being said, I feel like if I come here and say okay maybe someone was wrong for doing something, whatever, I feel like there's probably something probably deeper than what we see online. I wouldn't want to like say too much on it because of course I don't want blah blah blah but I'm not scared to talk. Everybody knows, like I'm a standup guy.

But I just feel like what if in the next you know 10, 20 years this guys now become best friends. Or something has happened before that they fell out, became best friends, fell out again. I would say that there's something somewhere that needs to be addressed. There's like a deeper sense of this whole thing that needs to be addressed for us to really know what's going on.

But I'm not going to lie, one thing I would say though is like I was really surprised seeing Wiz tweet like that. I've never seen Wiz tweet like that. We always used to think that this guy was like quiet and all that, but for him to do all that, I don't know. Like, I'm surprised. Like I'm shocked. and this this is something that if I saw him too, I would be like guy why did you tweet all that? Like I didn't expect like you know somebody that all of us thought that—but maybe, I don't know. Maybe there was a—I don't know.

I don't really know much of what caused it, but I just know that it's something that we we don't know where it's coming from, but it's deep and you feel like there is definitely something that a lot of people don't know there and I wouldn't want to say say anything and then tomorrow something else happen. I wouldn't want to put myself on that.
