It’s funny to think how an average-looking guy in one country would be considered a hot commodity in another. It has much to do with the fact that dating standards vary from one place to the next (and in other cases, one culture to the next).

Let’s say you’re considered an average Joe in America. Naturally, you won’t get a lot of dating options simply because you’re not the “ideal type” for most of the local women – physically, and maybe even socially.

Money, American citizenship, foreign looks, etc. In other words, American men have more to offer than local men. That is why, if presented with the opportunity to date one, a Filipina will be quick to take it. And this is good news for you.

You may not be an ideal bachelor back home, but in the Philippines, you have better chances of meeting women who are interested in getting to know you. Sure, they might see you as a rich foreign guy, but can you blame a woman for wanting to have a better life by choosing a guy who is financially stable?

This means that even if you’re not rich, given the differences in currency and opportunities in your home country and theirs, your financial situation is more likely to be better than what an average guy in the Philippines is earning.

Even without the financial aspect, women from the Philippines are interested in American culture. Many of them are eager to be part of an interracial relationship, what with all the benefits that come with it.

So, yes, a lot of women will want to date you there (maybe even marry you, if possible).

At first, it can come off as culture shock. Most men who have experienced dating in the Philippines are overwhelmed with the fact that a lot of women showed interest in them. They were expecting one or two women to show interest, not a dozen or more.

So if you’re a guy who’s having trouble finding any luck in the local dating scene, maybe it’s time to try something new. Travel somewhere where your chances are high. Travel to a place where local women think you’re attractive and the epitome of their ideal guy. It doesn’t have to be the Philippines. But the country is a good place to start, especially if you’re into Filipino women.
