Speaking about how she got arrested by Nigerian police after a party, Seyi Shay revealed saying:

SEYI SHAY: Welcome to Sharing With Seyi Shay where I share with you some things you probably didn't know. Today, I'm going to tell you about the time I got arrested. Yes, I got arrested.

It was a few years ago, before I had my kid and we were in Lagos, Nigeria in a party in Ikoyi and then we all wanted to move on to the next party but that was on the mainland, somewhere around Oshodi. So we got a taxi and we got pulled over on the way there. So random, I don't even remember how it happened.

We got pulled over and they found a stash on us. Yes, a stash. Oh my god. They took us to the police station and one of the police officers was like "are you not Seyi Shay? Ah! Seyi Shay is here!" and then he started telling everybody in the station.

So that very night, I had to go the ATM and pull out literally two hundred and fifty thousand naira to pay him off. We didn't get our stash back and I didn't know how I was going to make it home the next morning. But somehow, I did.

Wow, what a random story and very unexpected for Seyi Shay. The fact it didn't even make headlines when it happened is quite surprising. What do you think about what Seyi Shay had to say about getting arrested?
