Popular Nigerian rapper OdumoduBlvck is opening up in a new interview with The Beat 97.9FM about his love and respect for MAVIN CEO Don Jazzy, and also speaking about how Don Jazzy gifted him a huge amount of money when they met. Revealing that Don Jazzy gave him $10,000, the interviewer like all of us was surprised about this, and asked "for what?" Here's what OdumoduBlvck had to say in response.

ODUMODUBLVCK: In the Nigerian music scene, there is nobody that is as original as Don Jazzy. Like in Vampire Diaries, when they say an OG, Don Jazzy is an OG. Don Jazzy came, like respect to my brothers Burna, Wiz, Olamide, David, all of us used to look up to Don Jazzy. The way we look up to David and these people that I just called, they used to look up to Don Jazzy.

"Interviewer: How did you get Don Jazzy on your song?"

I just hit him up. Like the first day we did "Asampete", I recorded a vocal that sounds like Don Jazzy vocal, and was like no, Don Jazzy should be on it. When I went to meet him, he gave me a lot of money. Yeah, I have to put that out there, he gave me a lot of money. Everywhere I go, I tell people he gave me $10,000 cash.

"Interviewer: For what?"

ODUMODUBLVCK: That's what people always ask. Like why did he give you so much money? It's just cuz he's the Don. Don no be for mouth. And he still gave me vocals. And he now told me I should keep all the royalties and put him as a featured artiste. That day, they still cooked food for me to eat. Turkey. That's Don!
