May 1st 2019 5:55PM on a Friday evening. New York City’s weather had been consistently warm until today.

Lovely looks at the news NY1 said it was the hottest day of the year so far. Temperatures reached 82 degrees.

Lovely exhaled as she turned the television off.

Lovely began to doubt herself, and was not sure how pleasant she would be on the date this evening. It had been two weeks since Lovely first met James. Lovely and James met online and have been texting, FaceTiming and talking ever since. James asked Lovely out on a date. Lovely loved the idea at first but then came on the heat wave. Just as she was about to text to cancel she receives a FaceTime from James.

Lovely answers

“Hey Gorgeous” James smiles

Lovely sighes “Ugh James I don’t know about”

James interrupts before Lovely finishes. “Please don’t cancel I’ve been looking forward to our date all week.”

Lovely exhales “I have too. It’s just I have had a hell of a week, it’s hot, my hair is a mess.”

James looks beaming “Can I say your hair looks beautiful. I love a woman with natural hair.”

Lovely stands at 5’7 with a curvy chubby frame. Her Moca skin glows and her tight coiled curls lay comes right below her ears.

“How about this. Keep getting dressed. Keep getting more and more beautiful, and I promise to take care of everything.” James said convincingly

Lovely smiles “Okay I’ll be ready in about an hour.”

“Yes! FaceTime me before you leave your house.” James said excited

As they hung up Lovely looked in the mirror with only a towel on and says “Alright let’s go.” Lovely began getting emotionally and physically ready for her date. Lovely took a spray bottle and put in some leave in conditioner, hair mousse and warm water.

“I need to define my curls.”

After the leave in and water mix lovely takes her damp hair and uses her new curl diffuser. Once her hair is complete Lovely gets dressed. Lovely decided on a sexy black dress with spaghetti straps. The dress hugs her curves and comes right above the knee. Lovely places pasties over her perky C breasts.

“Thank goodness I don’t have to wear a bra.”

Lovely picked a black and white polka dot sheer jacket.

“I’ll bring a jacket NY1 said the temperature will drop.” Lovely said aloud to herself.

Lovely finished off with her outfit with some white pumps.

Lovely wore her favorite shade of dark red lipstick: Merlot by Jovi. Lovely applied fake lashes to complete her look. As lovely looks at herself in the mirror she is pleased at herself. The thought of the date and what’s in store began to intrigue her. Lovely is glad she did not cancel. As Lovely heads to the door she facetimes James.

James answers on the first ring: “Perfection”

Lovely smiles “Thank you. I’m about to call an Uber and leave.”

James “No need” Lovely is quizzed by his words. Lovely hopes that James doesn’t think she is taking the subway in this dress.

James “I told you to get dressed and I would take care of everything. Head downstairs the Uber is waiting.”

Lovely “oh thank you so much!”

James “No problem I’ll see you in a few”

Lovely heads out her apartment and locks the door. Lovely goes to presses the elevator goes in and heads downstairs. Lovely remember that she needs the license plate number. Lovely picks up her iPhone to FaceTime James but he already sent a text. Black car license plate. XMT 2975

Lovely looks for the car. As she looks around she sees a Black Tesla. The Uber driver comes out the car greets Lovely and opens the door for her. Lovely is gleeful with the special treatment. As Lovely rides in the car she feels the cool breeze of the air conditioner. Lovely decides to send a text.

“This was so thoughtful thank you”

James responds “Of course a lady should never feel discomfort.”

Lovely sits back and closes her eyes as the Uber drives down the west side highway. Lovely admires the lovely view of New York City. Lovely starts thinking about her life and how New York City has been her home. A lot of people have negative things to say about New York however for Lovely this is her home. After about 15 mins she feels a stop.

“We are here” the driver says

Lovely opens her eyes to a beautiful restaurant that has views of New Jersey and the Hudson River.

“Thank you so much” Lovely says to the driver.

Lovely saw James and she starts getting butterflies in her stomach. As she slowly walked towards James Lovely sees his 5 feet 10in medium build frame.

“James looks even better in person.” Lovely thought

His peanut brittle skin, trimmed kinky hair and beard. He looked almost like a model Lovely was happy.

“Hey” Lovely said. She greeted him with a hug.

James smiled “I have a few things for you.” James was holding a big black bag. I have some things for now and some for later. James pulls a small electric fan.

“The restaurant is a roof top and it’s hot day.”

James also pulled out A pair of flat sandals.

“Size nine I believe you said. After dinner I thought we walk a bit and I don’t want your feet to hurt.”

Lovely was so surprised “Wow that’s so nice and sweet thank you.”

James continued “I know you said you hate when men give you flowers because they die”

Lovely chuckles “Yes I hate flowers I’m glad you remembered. What else do you have?” Lovely asked

“Oh the rest is for later” James winked.

Lovely was impressed between this and the Uber she KNEW dinner would be great!

James pick a nice booth in the corner. The roof top was gorgeous, and the section James choose was quiet. Lovely was taking it all in when the waiter arrived.

“Are you guys ready to order your drinks and entrees?”

James looked at Lovely. “I took the liberty of ordering a couple appetizers we can share. If that’s alright?”

Lovely LOVED that he was taking the lead. It was something she discussed with him as well.

“Oh sure I love surprises.”

James continued “Do you need a minute for your drink and meal?”

Lovely “For my main course yes but for my drink may I have a vodka pineapple and OJ”

The waiter speaks “May I suggest our restaurant specialty. Its a vodka-based drink with our homemade mango, pineapple juice and a splash of grenade. Its a house favorite.”

Oh that sounds excellent! Lovely said

The waiter looks at James “Sir for you”

“I’ll have a bourbon straight no ice.” James ordered but didn’t take his eyes off Lovely.

Lovely impressed “Drinking straight I see.”

James smirked “but of course.”

The appetizers came Lovely and James talked as they munched on chicken skewers, goat cheese salad, and crab cakes.

Lovely “I’m so full can we split an entree?”

James said “Hmm how about steak and mash potatoes?”

Lovely said “Perfect! Medium rare I hope”

James “Yes I hate well done people”

Lovely “Oh Me too! it’s like you want a tasteless dry piece of meat.”

Lovely and James laughed, ate and drank until the sun set.

Lovely “Is it later? I wanna see what else is in the bag.”

James “Not yet it is time for flats though.”

Lovely put on the flats and was so thankful become those pumps were not for walking.

Lovely “I’m not running out on the check but I am running to the ladies room.”

James laughs “Funny but I wouldn’t think about asking you to pay.”

Lovely goes and uses the bathroom as she is about to wash her hands the lady attendant starts speaking

“First date huh”

Lovely “Yes. I must admit everything is perfect. He even bought me flats so we can walk around”

Attendant “He seems like a keeper”

Lovely smiles “yeah I think he is”

Lovely finishes washing her hands. The attendant gives her a paper towel. Lovely takes it and some mints and gives a $5 tip

Lovely “Goodnight”

As lovely walks towards the table James stands up

James “I finished up are you ready?” as Lovely nods James puts his arm up so they can walk arm and arm. Lovely and James walk further downtown until they reach a nice pier overlooking New Jersey and the river.

James “In the bag I have a blanket. We can lay on the grass or sit on the benches.”

Lovely “Since this dress is a little tight I say benches” Lovely lets out a chuckle.

James fold the blanket and lays it on the bench. He gestures his hand out to her “Madam”

Lovely bows as she sit. James places his arm around Lovely. As they both look at the Hudson river James turns to Lovely.

“Thank you for coming out it was amazing.”

James leans forward and gives Lovely a gentle kiss on the lips. As their mouths slowly open the kiss became more intense. James stop right in the middle of the kiss and looks into Lovely’s eyes. They both chuckle. James starts looking at the atmosphere and Lovely lays her head on his shoulder.

Lovely says “The restaurant was great. I was so full I didn’t get a change to look at the desert menu.”

James chuckles “I have all we need”

James goes in his bag and hands lovely chocolate covered strawberries.

Lovely “OMG yes!”

James “That’s not all.” James reaches in his bag for the final items Two wine glasses and a bottle of Merlot. As James pours the glasses lovely says “Oh my favorite!”

James “I remember you telling me you went wine tasting and Merlot was the first red wine you actually enjoyed.”

Lovely “I can’t believe you remembered that.”

James “If a person is important you remember what they say.”

Lovely “Lets toast to a great dinner, great company and a great bottle of wine.”

They both say at the same time “Cheers”

Lovely and James toast and sip the merlot. James and lovely finish the bottle and slowly walk away from the pier.

James “I’ll call your Uber first then mine.”

James kisses Lovely ever so gently on the lips. At that exact moment Lovely’s Uber shows up. James called another a lyft for himself.

This man! Lovely thought.

James “Goodnight my Lovely”

Lovely enters the Uber and she thinks about her evening. Lovely wonders if she has possibly met her husband. Just as she was deep in thought her phone rings it’s James she smiles.
