Hindustan Unilever Limited is the Indian subsidiary of the British-Dutch consumer goods company Unilever. It is the company’s largest enterprise in terms of the volume of products sold, annually selling over 4 million tonnes of consumer, food and personal care products. Worldwide, Unileveremploys more than 170,000 people in 180 countries, with a total turnover of about €50 billion.

Hindustan Unilever has a host of strong branded products in the portfolio, divided into categories like personal care, home care and foods & beverages. SurfExcel, Rin, Wipro Safewash and 7X Soap Powder feature amongst its many home care items like detergents and detergent bars. The company has also been successful in producing several daily-use products such as brooms, cleaners, mops, glass cleaner, room fresheners and air fresheners.

When it comes to food and beverage products, Hindustan Unilever has established brands such as Knorr, Kissan, Lipton and Brooke Bond. The company has launched many products under Kissan including sauces, jams and ketchups, and a wide range of tea and coffee products that are offered under the Lipton and Brooke Bond brand. Hindustan Unilever has also introduced Magnum - a range of premium wafer products in India.

In addition, the company sells packaged drinking water of the brand – Pureit, and packaged tea extracts under the brand name – Taaza. As a part of the food range, the company has also introduced sauces like Knorr soups, ketchups, tomato paste and mayonnaise.
