Crushes Millennials Had at One Point

It's only 13 days into 2022, and I think we can take some time to reminisce about the past.

Ah, the 90's. The decade we Millennials love to live in for a bit because let's be honest, we miss it. God knows I miss aspects of it. You know what I miss the most?

Trying to figure out if DiCaprio was cuter than Depp.

So, let's recount the heartthrobs of the 90's that had our attention.

1. Leonardo DiCaprio

Of course he's going to be the first one I mention because when one thinks of the 1990s, usually one of the first people mentioned is this blonde Lothario here. I first saw him in a little movie called Titanic, maybe you've heard of it. Of course, when we rented it from Blockbuster it was across 4 VHS tapes and rewinding those things was such a b!tch.

2. Brendan Fraser

I can admit that I am still in love with this man, he can get it today. I remember seeing him in Mrs Winterbourne and Dudley Do Right but it was the Mummy that made him a sex symbol. Tall, strong, smart, protective, and one hell of a mummy fighter; everyone's dream hero.

3. Freddie Prinze Jr

I will be honest, I can't tell you what movies he was in the 90's, but I remember suddenly loving baseball when I saw him in uniform. I think it was about him trying to date a girl and Shaggy was his best friend. I barely care, all I remember was watching him in his baseball uniform swinging that bat. Also, you're lying if you say that you don't think he was the perfect Fred Jones in the Scooby Doo movies. Perfect. And so cute.

4. Will Smith

Okay, Will Smith is hot in any year, let's get that straight right now. I watched the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in the 90s and I fell in love with Will. He was hilarious, fun, smart, and was open to others opinions while also having some mature advice of his own. Pretty much every boyfriend I've ever had has been measured up to Will's personality, and none have hit the mark. I miss male characters like him, I miss him doing roles like that too but that's a whole other discussion.

5. Brad Pitt

Brad is another celebrity that has aged well, but in the 90s, he was every girls dream guy. I first saw him in Snatch, a Guy Ritchie film that is about a diamond and Pitt is a bare knuckle boxer that you cannot understand. Even with subtitles. But honestly, you don't really pay attention to his mouth, it's the fact he rips off his shirt when he boxes and he's covered in tattoos. Not in a trashy way, but it's so hot.

6. Johnny Depp

You can't mention the 90's without mentioning Johnny Depp. He's so dreamy, now and then. I cannot decide what makes him so handsome, is it the air of mystery that surrounds him? Maybe that little bad boy streak? Those sharp features, piercing eyes, full lips. GOd, he's just so gorgeous. I loved that he didn't fall into the 'pretty boy' roles like DiCaprio did, he took roles that were weird and odd, the outcasts. And it only made him hotter.

Admit it, after Pirates of the Caribbean, we all wanted him even more because he was a dirty pirate.

7. Mark Wahlberg

Marki Mark. I don't care how to spell the ridiculous name he went by, in the 90s, he would take off his shirt for literally anything and that's all we needed to know. He has become an actor, honestly I'm not sure if he's good or bad, I just like to look at him. I didn't listen to his music in the 90s that much but I definitely had his poster behind my door.

8. George Clooney

Okay, I remember coming home from school one day and my grandma was watching ER. Normally she watched Days of our Lives in the 90s, but that day she had ER on and I saw the gorgeous Dr. Clooney. Those dark eyes and his voice, oh what a catch. It was easy to tell early on that he was going to be a dreamboat forever. Even today, he looks like he barely aged, it's not fair. But you can't be mad when he looks that good today.

9. Paul Rudd

The first time I saw him, it was in Clueless that I didn't realize was based off Emma by Jane Austen till 2020. Yes, I was in love with this little dweeb. He was weirdly goofy but so endearing and sweet, I was lowkey mad Cher ended up with him at the end because I didn't think she deserved him. I love the way he looked at Cher when she came down the stairs for her date, that's the way I always wanted someone to look at me for a date. For anything really. I'm also mad that he looks THE SAME NOW. He's a vampire, a very polite and sweet vampire.

10. Keanu Reeves

I saved the best for last. Keanu. Star of Point Break, Speed, and the Matrix. Speed was my favorite movie in the 90s, I watched it every Saturday night and I fawned over him. The tough LA Cop who took the law into his own hands (the place where I'd like to be). I still put this movie on from time to time, yeah I still have a huge crush on him. Look at him! Not only is he gorgeous, but he's funny AND sensitive in a non-ironic way. I only watch Bram Stoker's Dracula for him, it's a terrible movie overall but I love him so I'll watch whatever he's in. I literally just sat through the Matrix series in December because I wanted to see him on the big screen. And to get out of the house to see a movie.
